Adding Sky Movies 1 to package.

I have got all the Sky Sports channels in but if I add Sky Movies 1 how much extra will I need to pay?

The Virgin Media web site only tell the price on if you want all of Sky Sports and Sky Movies in.

I think you have your answer. The only combination of Sports and Movies is the full collection. At £7 per month more than Sky Sports on its own, it's not too bad.

Yes that is what i would get rather then a stand alone Movie channel buying like that is very expensive if you have sky sports collection already.:)

if you are out of contract you maybe able to get a deal to get the channels cheaper..

I managed to get all the movie channels (and in HD) for an extra £3 a month by agreeing to a new contract...

I wanted the Sports channels and it seemed good value to have all the films as well. All or nothing seem to be the best two options.

Its better to add all the movies rather than just 1 or 2 of them.

Do you be-grudge any company to make a profit, As they will have to charge what SKY say and then add a bit on top for themselves:confused:

Sky movies is far more expensive on VM than Sky.

You can get the full package for £16 on sky; £21.50 on VM

You can get pack 1 or 2 for £8 on Sky; £14.50 on VM

And the SD versions have Dolby digital 5.1 on Sky; you have to pay the extra £7 a month to get HD for DD 5.1 on VM

I do agree on VM making a profit on these, but the differences seem a little steep. That's why I use Lovefilm rather than Sky Movies. If VM charged the same price as Sky, I'd possibly take Sky movies pack 2 as well.

Yes but do we know what SKY are charging VM for these channels (But do not forget that the Competition Commission are looking in to this?).

You're right, we don't. all we can do is compare prices and make a decision.

The sooner The Competition commision look into this and general VOD rights, the better.

Very well said and that is what I am waiting for as well. There initial findings show that SKY are raking it it? So should be a good ruling (Hopefully):D
