Espna hd
Simple would you like to see ESPNA HD on VM XL package ?
|
Re: Espna hd
A very big yes from me, its the channel my son and I watch the most.
|
Re: Espna hd
Simple one this, if you watch ESPNA then yes. If you don't watch the channel then no. I don't watch the channel ever so I have no need for Virgin to add the HD version to my package.
|
Re: Espna hd
Yep this is definitely the next HD channel I'd like next on the network.:tu:

Re: Espna hd

Re: Espna hd

Would most of us pay like 2 or 3 pounds extra a month for the HD version? Would still be saving money than being with sky.

Re: Espna hd
I would love the option to have it for a couple of quid. But knowing Virgin we won't get the option, this is the problem with the free HD on XL it doesn't get you much.

Re: Espna hd
More HD channels are always welcome in my eyes.
I'd love to have the rumored ESPN 2 HD. |
Re: Espna hd
I have emailed VM to ask if we can have ESPNA HD. Also asked for ITV4 HD while I was at it, as I would love to see the upcoming season of BTCC in HD too.:D

Re: Espna hd
Sent one to cindy on tuesday.
One to Neil today a much longer not just about ESPNA HD but other HD, tivo about cost and the fact I wont be getting one due to not having content which is more important and possibly leaving the TV side of things and go to sky if more HD isn't added by June I said if ESPNA and at least half the missing HD channels are added I wont leave and noting I'm a VIP50 customer with a 3rd V+ box paying around £115 a month. By the way heres a list of missing HD channels: 1) Bio.HD 2) Crime & Investigation Network HD 3) Disney Cinemagic HD (Dont care about) 4) Disney XD HD (Dont care about) 5) Eden HD 6) ESPN America HD 7) Good Food HD 8) History HD 9) ITV2 HD 10) ITV3 HD 11) ITV4 HD 12) MGM HD 13) Nat Geo Wild HD 14) Nickelodeon HD (Dont care about) 15) Sky Atlantic HD (Dont care about) 16) Sky Arts 1 HD (Dont care about) 17) Sky Arts 2 HD (Dont care about) 18) Sky Movies Classics HD (Dont care about) 19) Sky News HD 20) Sky Sports HD3 21) Sky Sports HD3 22) Sky Sports News HD 23) Universal Channel HD 24) Luxury Life HD (Dont care about) |

Hopefully TMLeafs email to the CEO's office will get a reply. |

Re: Espna hd
I dont watch any US sport so wouldnt need it in HD, i think VM could do with providing us with English sport channels in HD First (SSHD 3&4).

Re: Espna hd

Re: Espna hd
I have just received a reply, but it was from Rob Poderoso not Cindy Rose. Doesn't sound very promising to me :(
Many thanks for your email and for taking the time to write to Virgin Media. It's great to hear that you're a big fan of US sports and enjoy watching ESPN America and ESPN. It's also nice to hear you enjoy watching ITV4 and would like to watch both channels in HD. We hope you're enjoying watching all the HD channels we launched last year, including BBC1 HD, ITV1 HD and ESPN HD It's really helpful to hear comments from customers like you as it helps us develop our future thinking and product roadmap. However, it's not always possible for us to carry every channel due to capacity and commercial considerations but we constantly review and evolve the channels we make available. In the meantime, we hope you continue to enjoy watching ESPN America and the other US sports available in high definition on ESPN HD, including: NBA, NHL and NFL Monday Night Football in addition to other sports in high definition including the UEFA Champions League on ITV1 HD. Thanks again for your feedback. Kind regards Rob |
Re: Espna hd
Not great at all well I have decided to wait till the new season of NHL and EPL to start no point moving now a paying loads of money with no sport on during the summer. So to some it up they have till September to at least get ESPN America HD, ITV HD's and Good Food HD. I do have a 3D telly but I'm not moving for just 1 3D channel though by then I expect sky to have 3 or 4 lol

Yeh but it means no VOD as we know it. No a game changer for someone who loves US sport. If it wasn't for TiVo I would be looking at the dark side and not worry about the VOD. However those evil VM people are giving me free TiVo on Friday so I am stuck with them for another year :mad::mad::mad: :nutter:  ---------- Post added at 19:18 ---------- Previous post was at 19:17 ---------- Quote:

Re: Espna hd
I love ESPNHD as a UK football watcher, slightly ironic my wife is American but doesn`t watch sport since Henry left Arsenal soo not a big deal for me.
I don`t have the time to get into NBA and the ice hockey. |

Re: Espna hd
Seems such a shame not to have it, American HD always seems far superior to what's filmed over here - NBA on main ESPN channel looks amazing. Would be brilliant if they brought it onto VM, Wilbon was made for HD. Can't see it happening this year sadly.

Re: Espna hd
After 20 days sending an email to cindy I have had this reply
Quote:
If capacity is such a big problem they might as well give up being a TV/Quad Provider. Yes sky is expense the first 12 months but they throw out half price deals out to keep you so paying the first 12 months should be worth it. Virgin have 6 months or I'm going to sky for more HD! |
