Super Hub Optimal Settings - Hints & Tips
My 50Mb speed is all over the place and the green progress bar on the status bar at the bottom of the page is all jittery and juddery when loading in pages. In a nutshell i'm not impressed with 50Mb but have always had a secure connection on all other tiers i've been on in the past. I've had 50Mb about 2 weeks now and it's still getting no better.
Is there any hints or tips for the optimum settings on the Super Hub to get the best speed out of it. I've had a look in there and it's a minefield of information compared to the old modem. |
Re: Super Hub Optimal Settings - Hints & Tips
disabling the firewall and ip flood detection seems to help out most peeps

Optimal setting? Assuming you got one of the dodgy ones, left in it's box and never used. :D

Notice what happens when I "replace assigning addresses with working" as indicated in my post, which was of the fixed that for you variety. Quote:

when i read that thread, i didnt think it was a joke. even now, after you have said its a joke. I still dont beleive this to be a joke, the only joke is the object itself, the virgin [Mod edit] superhub itself eeeurghh

Please, everyone who agrees. Please DONT post "agreed". Cable forum might overload and crash if everyone who agrees makes a post!

agree with the agreeing.... shall we start a protest against the superhub

Re: Super Hub Optimal Settings - Hints & Tips
The funny thing is, all us Super Hub malcontents could easily be silenced with VMDG300s instead of the "Super Hub or nothing" approach. From what I understand, just like the Ambit 250/256 it's a solid piece of kit which runs for months at a time without needing a reboot. Simple, efficient.
Are you listening VM? ;) :D |

It did need a couple of firmware upgrades by VM to get it to this stage though. |
