They are not. Once you set a series link on TiVo, if the series finishes and eventually the next one starts on a different date or time, TiVo should notice and still record the series. V+ can't do this.

This tends to happen a lot especially after a weekend with no MOTD, ie FA Cup weekends. That TiVo phone call can't come quick enough :)

CSI NY on Saturday channel 5 has no series link so hasn't been picked up for next weekend (is around 9:30'ish pm)

Thanks MB, I must admit I tried that when I noticed it this morning and have tried it again just now and still no joy.

It's an SA V+ if that makes any difference. I re-boot it as little as possible because it is so sluggish for the rest of the day afterwards.

My box do it sometimes:

All I do is -

1) Reboot your box.
2) The link appears the next day.

Rookie Blue is showing as a mini series but consists of 13 episodes.

That tends to happen sometimes, but it should still pick up all episodes. I had a season of The Mentalist where it was showing episode 12 of 3, 13 of 3 etc in the Planned Series section because when I set it it had been listed as a 'mini-series'

OK, MOTD2 and No ordinary family now working but MOTD tonight still not coming up.

I've set a manual record now and will check if it picks up next weeks show.

I doubt you'll get any TiVo series link issues, it works completely differently and better :)

If you have set to record repeats and new then agreed you should get everything

If channels don't mark programmes a 'new' correctly, there might sometimes be the odd issue if you've set it to 'new' (or premiere) only

I've not had TiVo long and think It's a great bit of kit but programs not being marked as new is quite annoying. I don't really want to be setting series links up as new & reruns as I'll be forever deleting recordings.

As an example I set Two & a Half Men as new & reruns and got about 50 odd planned recordings!

I'm still on the regular V+ but had loads of series links break in the last week or so.

To list the ones I can remember :-

Harry Hills TV Burp
Eastenders
One born every minute
Dancing on Ice
+ others

Plenty of others have been fine so don't see a link as to why some have failed and others continued

I'm sure it was on on Saturday as I had to set up another pass for that one whether it was the last or not I didn't know.

Thanks to Media Boy also as I guess that is a bug and I had not heard of that before.
Will try it when I get back home later and then will have to go through deleting the duplicate series links

The new series of The Ultimate Fighter is showing correctly in the V+ EPG but there is no series link. The next premiere episode is next Thursday at 22:30.

I understand a list for missing series links on Tivo, but why the V+?

There is an existing thread on DS for V+, which, as I understand it, is monitored by the people who set the links and can correct the missing ones.

Yesterday I set Eureka Season 1 episode 1 as a series link on Sy Fy HD. V+ set it to record yesterday but when it confirmed the series link it confirms Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files. Also if I go into Recordings by Series it shows Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files as ongoing. So has it set Eureka to record or not?

try this one in your Tivo:

ITV 2 show 3 back to back episodes of Judge Judy daily at 9:00

they repeat these at 11:00 and then again at 5:00

Tivo records allllllllllllll 9 episodes every day - regardless of settings

V+ used to record just the one showing which was fine

When setting the series link and setting it to New Only, it gets all the repeats from throughout the week and the new episodes on monday themself aren't even labelled as 'New'

Apologies for bumping an old thread, but seems better than starting a new one. Oh, and I don't know whether the official Virgin support people will respond on the community forum these days.

The Hotel Inspector - this coming Thursday 9pm Channel 5 (and I dare say some of the repeats too) isn't series-linked.

For what it's worth... writing to this address appears to work. I've emailed a few guide errors to them, and although they don't reply - the errors have always been corrected within a working day.

I series record Big Brother C5HD on both my TiVo and V+, have had no issues on TiVo, but V+ has missed both Friday episodes for the last 2 weeks?

I'm pretty sure mine has eg Points Of View.

I've found that if the V+ can't record part of a series due to having no space or if one decides to delete one particular episode in "Planned Recordings" or taking the red marker off the EPG, that it often cancels future recordings.

Mine seems to be working ok (V+)

Not sure if this is how the system works but giving how the TiVo is supposed to be better than the V+ was surprised to find that the series link that my Wife has set up for Holby City didn't record last night. I know that the programme was switched to BBC2 because of the Olympics but thought that it may have 'realised' this.

Is this normal, and if so I suppose this means that I'm going to have to check what other series may be moved to BBC2 and set a link for there as well.

It won't pick up channel changes, but it would if you'd set a wishlist rather than a series link, what it will do is find alternative showings on BBC one, and it's also available on the I player app.
