Re: Drivers

Windows doesnt recognise the Network Card, I put Vista on the Laptop

And I have no Idea what Network card is in the Laptop

The Toshiba website gives a list of possible drivers but nothing specific

Try following the instructions at http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD0302U00000R01.htm for identifying the card.

The correct page for searching for drivers for your laptop is http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.c...jsp?service=EU

Just fill out the model details, and click Search. It will bring up a list of all the drivers.

Re: Drivers

Chipset i would think.

Why don't you download the 'PC diagnostics tool' in that list then just install all the drivers you need?

Barewolf 30-10-2010 22:13

Re: Drivers

Theres no option for chipset, the others seem to be there

Tempro may help too. http://uk.computers.toshiba-europe.c...EMPO_HELP_1_2/

What is TEMPRO?
TEMPRO is a software service developed by Toshiba. It will advise you on how to fine-tune the performance of your notebook and keep you informed of the latest Toshiba software and driver updates as soon as they are released. It does this by delivering various types of alerts into a special TEMPRO inbox area on your notebook PC.

or

http://tinyurl.com/367ryoy

That's the direct link for the 'chipset utility' which should be installed first after the OS. Hopefully that will help.

Ive downloaded the Chipset as you suggested, and I ran it on the laptop.

When its running it says

"Windows Has found new hardware, it then asks me for the disk that came with my Ethernet Controller, as I dont have one I selected for windows to search, and it couldnt find one.

I'm still no better off and getting very frustrated:rolleyes:

Try http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.c...verLanguage=42

Standard VGA
Ethernet Controller
Video Controller

It looks like the SM BUS has been fixed

Stuart 31-10-2010 00:41

Re: Drivers

The drivers you need should all be available from that search page.

Barewolf 31-10-2010 00:54

Re: Drivers

Managed to get everything installed except the graphics adapter, for some reason this wont install

Stuart 31-10-2010 00:58

Re: Drivers

Cool.. Not that the Graphics driver wouldn't install, but that you got the rest of it installed.
