Surely if people want to rant they're more than capable of opening their own threads. If they're ranting in a thread that's not for ranting then suggest politely that they're off topic and ask them to take it elsewhere or report the post. I see no sense in opening random threads, if we all did that where would we be? < Go's off to open a "Post here if you're wearing anything black today!" thread > |

Re: Rant about virgin tv
The whole forum's a place for people to rant - if the content of the thread isn't appropriate then I suggest you address that rather than just opening random threads.
Just my own personal thoughts on the matter you understand :D |

Oh they do believe me, they do.I've lost count of the number of newly opened threads about the lack of HD channels..;)
|
Re: Rant about virgin tv
Maybe we should all make a concerted effort to divert the ranters to this thread.

I want more 2D HD channels with a 1tb STB, but after last night I don't want to see Luton in HD, 3D, SD, VHS.:(

Re: Rant about virgin tv
I'd like to have a moan at VM for mistakenly charging me an additional £75 on my monthly bill for the installation of a V+ box, BUT...upon ringing them they put the credit on this months bill and gave me a £20 goodwill payment.
How can I be expected to have a decent moan when they correct a mistake so quickly and decently.:) |

I'd like to moan about VM not putting a man on the moon. Bloody hell the Americans did it 41 years ago and still VM haven't caught up. What are they playing at? |

Jesus m8 how many times. I posted on another thread that virgin's net and customer service are excellent, way ahead of sky IMO. However as far as tv service they are miles behind, supposed negotiations drag on and on, no clear advertising of what HD or CBS etc launching and when. Sky have way more channels that u would want HD for, don't care about itv2 tbh but it highlights yet again sky deliver more and quicker and let their customers know. If you genuinely think virgins tv service is anywhere near as good yer mental |

Re: Rant about virgin tv
I don't want to, don't u get it. All is great with virgin apart from tv, that is all I'm saying but for some reason u and others seem to refuse to see that despite the crystal clear evidence. Let me ask you a simple question. Do sky have way more tv channels, do they have more HD, do they get channels first, can you watch premier films when u want? Virgin have ESPN free but IMO that's the only upside. I want all my services with one provider and don't want upheaval of getting BT line etc, just want virgin to get the tv finger out and catch up and publicise what their plans are. Look I give up
|
Re: Rant about virgin tv
The answer to all you questions - I don't care about any of them! If I did I would be on Sky TV!
If you don't like it then don't buy it. Cable tv is optional. If you don't like it then move on. If you want more HD then move on etc etc etc. I don't see why one provider is the be all and end all of your decision on tv. It actually is laughable you pay for a service you hate just so all your services can appear on the same bill. |
Re: Rant about virgin tv
I don't hate virgin I don't give an f about who provides my services I have no loyalty to any company. Mate glad your happy and the fact u didn't answer any of those questions sums it up. Would rather pay one bill than two that's just the way I am. Virgin do a good job in many ways buy sub standard in others, also going back to sky means taking time of work to get BT line in and Sky instalation. Just debate nothing personal m8

Re: Rant about virgin tv
I did answer all of those questions.
And if you don't want to deal with BT then just keep the Virgin BB and change the tv to Sky. Still not sure what all your fuss is about. You have the option to go to the provider you like who can give you all the things important to you like more channels, more HD and first dibs on HD channel launches but you still chose not to. |
Re: Rant about virgin tv
Are you deliberately ignoring what I'm saying. Forget it
|
Re: Rant about virgin tv
Look guys
If you dont like being with Virgin Then go over to Sky. Pay Virgin there fees to leave them and go over to Sky im so sure you will want to come back to Virgin. Im sick of hearing people moan about Virgin and then still stay with them. Grow some balls and leave and start with Sky and then go to there forums and moan about how crap sky is. Sick of it. |

Re: Rant about virgin tv
Agree:) as mentioned ad nauseum don't want to leave virgin I want them to improve
|
Re: Rant about virgin tv
I didn't really ignore anything you said.
What I got from your posts so far is that you don't like Virgin tv yet carry on paying a subscription for it. |

Re: Rant about virgin tv
Henkesghost, I understand what you are saying and in many ways I agree with you. Virgin's communcation to their (own staff, let alone) customers about channels launches is very poor. To their credit they have improved the TV offering from when I joined 3 years ago, but I agree with you that the lag a long way behind the market leader. Mr Berkett's claim that this year is the year they focus on tv is in my opinion only half fulfilled!

Re: Rant about virgin tv
Personally I admire Berkett...especially the way he has made VM a more competitive company over the last two years, so much so that if he wanted he could come around my house for tea.
But if whilst he was eating his French Fancies and drinking his Darjeeling he took control of the remote and started changing channels willy nilly, I'd say...BERKETT NO, I respect the way you've managed to turn two ailing cable companies into one successful one, but you cannot come to my house and treat it like head office. My wife and I pay a premium for your great services but in my house I'm the only one who touches the remote, now take your Aussie surfers good looks and get out of my house. And I'd av right on my side.:D |
Re: Rant about virgin tv
How said is this. I have just read Frogstampers reply using the voice of Harry Enfield in my head.
Berkett NO ...... classic :D :D :D |
