If someone said to me 1 year ago, "hey, HDFootyMan, you'll be watchng Champions League Footy on SS2 HD and oh, by the way, Sky 1 HD is actually, seriously, really coming real soon!", then my response back then would have been unsuitable for a family-friendly, Digital cable forum.

The forthcoming red-button service will be the icing on the cake. So, well done Virgin and keep the HD coming.

I'm actually watching most of my TV now in HD. Didn't see that being a realistic possibility around 1 year ago.

The only programmes I watch in SD now is BBC news; Merlin and Match of the Day, and the arrival of BBC 1 HD should fix that.

True, SS3 in SD as well, but most of the big games (Premier League/Champions League) are on SS1 HD/SS2 HD.

Of course, there's good old ESPN HD as well. FA Cup games to come on that channel next year.

well this will be great Sky 1 HD I watch most of my TV shows in HD as well as football in HD most of the big games (Premier League/Champions League) on SS1 HD/SS2 HD and ESPN HD for the football. R we getting the red button?

Yes the red button service is coming soon as part of the recent agreement with Sky, as well as Sky content On Demand apparently! No launch dates announced for any of this though, I would imagine Red Button will be sometime this year though.

Well looks like this day we got access to Sky One HD and then Sky announced Sky Atlantic which will air all the HBO and big new acquisitions and now we all start wondering if we get access to this.

We don't know yet, but unlikely the same price as a current V+, as the TIVO is a much higher spec box.
