CBS remake of the classic "Hawaii Five-O". Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci (Star Trek 2009, Fringe, Alias) wrote the pilot & serve as Executive Producers, Peter M. Lenkov is the Executive Producer & showrunner.

Airs on Mondays in the US (same night as Castle, Chuck, House, & a tonne of other stuff).

I'm glad they used the iconic music and paid homage to the original opening titles. I enjoyed the first episode, although I think the body count was rather high. Like Maggy J, I'm feeling rather old. Book him Danno, murder one.

Watched it tonight - was a good action packed ep, and I think "Spike" will have survived to come back another day. I'll certainly be tuning in next week.

I managed to watch it also - I never saw the original (just a little before I was born/old enough to understand TV) But I thought it was rather good, with some quick wit and bikini clad Grace Park thrown in for good measure :) will definitely carry on watching.

Agreed! :) I didn't think it would be up to much, but its actually really witty and quite funny!

The only disappointment I've got is that I've got to wait another week to watch it again...

Another amazing episode of Hawaii Five-O :) The only thing that disappoints me is, I've actually been to O'ahu (including Wakiki) and the weather isn't as nice in real life :(

This is apparently the first version of the new titles they came up with, but they were ditched when test audiences didn't react well.

This is the one they are using, which I have to say, I prefer. The first version had a sort of rock arrangement which really didn't work.

I enjoy the theme tune, too. It's also got an awesome title sequence. I'm not sure I like the Irish SoA theme.

Final episode of the series airs in the US on 03-Jan-2011 :( I've really enjoyed this show and hope it comes back for another season

Nope.

Jan 3rd is only Ep 13 - its a full 22 Ep Season - the back 9 episodes were ordered by CBS in October. Episode 14 (E Malama) is due on Jan 17th.

Aaah... Thanks for the further info Paul... I hadn't noticed that the others had been ordered..

I thought I was going to be without stuff to watch!!! Well until Topgear returned to BBC2 anyway :)

Good stuff :D

I love this show, although I need a bit more "suspension of disbelief" with this than with "normal" copshows, as some of McGarrett's methods would normally mean a lot of the evidence he gets couldn't be used! :D

Well, we're coming up to the Season 1 Finale...and I've really enjoyed the show so far, and can't wait for season 2!

Next week is the penultimate episode...so I'm hoping for a good setup for the finale!

Excellent series...watched the finale a couple of days ago! It was a little bit of an odd ending, but it sets up nicely for S2 :) Heres hoping it isn't a long time coming :D

I thought it was an excellent end to an excellent season. I can't wait to see how they resolve everything.

Five-0 has been one of my favourite new shows of this past US TV season.
