X Factor: 2010
Starts 21st August at 8.30pm on ITV1!!, did it start this early last year?.
|
Re: X Factor: 2010
I think they're starting it early as they want to avoid releasing the single on the week of the xmas number one to stop the criticism.
|
Re: X Factor: 2010
2009 X Factor started on the 21st August
2008 series started on the 16th August 2007 series started on the 16th August So its not any earlier than previous years at all. It will there for end in time for Xmas No1 as usual. |

Anyone remember the name of last years winner/loser:D and does he still have a recording contract.:D |

If he did, the xfactor would be broadcast either in the Summer or starting in January. In fact, if Simon Cowell cared about his artists as much as he says, he would concentrate on marketing the ones he has rather than launching more series that are (despite claims to the contrary) merely clones of Pop Idol with some bells and whistles. ---------- Post added at 13:02 ---------- Previous post was at 12:55 ---------- Quote:
It was Joe McElderry, and while it says he is recording an album, I think the fact they don't seem to have released a follow up solo single and he is eight months into the contract speaks volumes. I understand he is recording an album, but he is being pushed in a market where if you don't release something regularly, you can be forgotten. |
Re: X Factor: 2010
I think the same as you Stuart.
X-Factor got old after the 2nd series, mainly because its just the "people audition...someone wins...we never hear from them again" formula. The only group that have had major success from TV Talent shows are Girls Aloud. But I guess if Cowell still sees the cash, he's going to keep making more. |

Leona is the only one who done really well out of it and set the bar for anyone coming on the show after that. Last years one was a joke with Jedward.
|
Re: X Factor: 2010
Alexandra seems to be doing very well in the charts these days, also JLS have had a number 1 god knows how many times and they are trying to break into America.
|
Re: X Factor: 2010
Just looked up a list of winners on Wikipedia. Out of 18 winners (I am counting 1st, 2nd and 3rd places as winners), there are three that succeeded. JLS, Alexandra Burke and Leona Lewis.

Re: X Factor: 2010
What a terrible start to the show, its clear he couldn't sing yet they put him through! lol.
|
Re: X Factor: 2010
I didn't know that it had started tonight. Will it be repeated again as I was out. If I had known it was on I would have put it on to record

Is it worth watching the repeat
|
Re: X Factor: 2010
I haven't watched it properly yet but some of them were good and the bad ones were hilarious that I saw
|
Re: X Factor: 2010
Oh good something to look forward to so tomorrow. Thanks Ben.

I thought Shirleena was hilarious singing Mercy and the fact that she had made it up as she went along was great. :D
Simon was being nice for a change. :erm: |
Re: X Factor: 2010
Mary Bryne will win, her voice was powerful, better than the other crap.

That Storm guy was good. I thought Simon was really rude not to call him by his name like that. I also like Cher.

X Factor was funny tonight along with some good acts, but I didn't think that one that got a second chance at an audition at the end was that good

I know, I wouldn't say he wasn't good at all but Louis was making him out to be better than he was if you get me, he did deserve to be put through though

Did anyone see see Hazel. She was so funny but also looked like a way older version of Sharon Osbourne
|
Re: X Factor: 2010
To be quite honest with you, this series is not as good as previous series, SC is going soft, especially with that female, who look like she was high on booze, and even though she was a crap singer, he still put her through, put it this way, the Sharon Osbourne look a like was better than her, and she took her dismissal on the chin.

He has his money made and now he dont care on way or another which way it goes or even if it gets good or bad ratings. I was shocked that she was put through as well. I hate the way the format was changed as well. I preffered when they went into the judges room and then they went on stage to boot camp and then the live stages.
|
Re: X Factor: 2010
Saturdays show was totally rubbish, l think that SC and the judges have lost that magic touch.
It was a show that l used to watch with eagerness every Saturday, but my god has it gone down hill, A complete revamp is urgerntly needed. |
Re: X Factor: 2010
Looks the show has it's very own escort girl now  I remember thinking she looked a right **** - probably for a good reason!
|

I remember her from Snog Marry Avoid, shes a wreck lol.

What did you make of the 'new dance routine' that the contestants had to endure? Do you think this was a wise decision or do you think that they should only concentrate on their voices or maybe both together?
|
Re: X Factor: 2010
Last I heard it was a singing competition not a dancing competition so they shouldn't have to learn how to dance as well
|
Re: X Factor: 2010
Is next week the start of the live show?
|
Re: X Factor: 2010
That was some performance from Mary. Some really good singers this year.
|
Re: X Factor: 2010
Hahaha, so glad Wagner got through, so funny :D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fq49Gv3wFB0
|
Re: X Factor: 2010
Gutted Nicolo went :( there was something about him that i loved... :D.
Ah well he'll become a good model. |
Re: X Factor: 2010
I was real shocked that Wagner got through. :D
My favourite is Matt, although I don't think he will win it. TreyC looks more likely to imo. Looks like Katie may be out this week.... |
Re: X Factor: 2010
Surely Wagner's got to go tonight and perhaps, and perhaps Katie....
what say you? :D |
Re: X Factor: 2010
I hope it is Wagner, he is useless, and SC boy band, totally out of tune, no l think it will be Wagner and that geezer with the horrible Jedward hairstyle.
|
Re: X Factor: 2010
It's not a double tonight. It will only be one contestant leaving.
Loved Katies song last night. Highlight of the evening for me. |

What is wrong with all of the contestants tonight. Not one of them have been good so far and the songs are boring
---------- Post added at 21:02 ---------- Previous post was at 20:17 ---------- Matt deserves to win after that performance. Wow he was the best so far. |
Re: X Factor: 2010
Wagner, he was brill
|
Re: X Factor: 2010
He was ok but I'm not a fan of his and good singers shouldn't be going over him. It's supposed to be a song compition. He's funny but that is where I have to stop
|
Re: X Factor: 2010
Just found out that "X-Factor's" Wagner is pronounced, "Dirty old git" :D
|

Re: X Factor: 2010
Oooh. looks like Cheryl Bloody Cole is the publics no1 hate figure after tonights XFactor :)
|
Re: X Factor: 2010
Why what is being said? Could never understand why she is called the nations sweet heart to begin with anyway
|
Re: X Factor: 2010
She refused to vote for an act. resulting in it being 2 to TreyC and 1 to Katie. so TreyC goes. if she had of voted it would have gone to deadlock where the public would have decided, and TreyC would have stayed.
Some people are calling OFCOM whilst the others are still smashing their own homes up :) and the only reason Cheryl is at number one with her album is because we have Cheryl constantly rammed down our throats every day. |
Re: X Factor: 2010

TBH, whilst that talentless arse Wagner is still in there are bigger questions to be raised about X-Factor than whether or not TreyC should have gone home. If the public genuinely *are* voting for him then they want their damn heads examined. |

The X factor has stopped becoming about singing talent a long time ago and is now just a joke. Wagner should have gone a long time ago and good acts will keep suffering like last year when the twins were kept in.

They may as well hand make Wagner the winner now as he is going to be kept in. I cant personally see what people see in him and want to vote for him.
|
Re: X Factor: 2010
I think Katey did better than TreyC in the sing off. As for Cheryl Cole, she's not as good as either of them!
|
Re: X Factor: 2010
I think Treyc done a better job but for some reason Katie seems to be the judges fav so Katie gets to stay. Even Treyc could singer better than Cheryl Cole. Katie is just a drama queen and attention seeker

Re: X Factor: 2010
Didn't like Diane vickers for the same reason. Treyc was nervous. Anyway just glad matt didn't go or Paize or whatever way his name is spelled. I really like those two and think they were the best last night. I would love one of Danni's acts to win as this year I think she is the best judge and she dont care what the other judges say. She says it like she sees it on the night and that is good enough for me. The other three are just a joke this year.
|
Re: X Factor: 2010
My favorites so far are Matt and Rebecca.
Matt's voice is absolutely amazing, i look forward to him every week. Rebecca is just perfect. |
Re: X Factor: 2010
Not one of the acts so far are any good. Even Matt who is my fav was struggling tonight
|
Re: X Factor: 2010
I liked Rebecca's voice. I think she should sing Almaz by Randy Crawford.

It was one of the most boring X Factors yet and I thought it would never end. I think that Katie is being pushed down our throats to win. But if Facebook have anything to do with it Wagner will win just to annoy Simon Cowell.

|
Re: X Factor: 2010
It's a double knock out. I hope Its him and katie or Cher will do as well
|
Re: X Factor: 2010

katies been in the bottom 2 4 times that tells me the public don't like her only the judges want her in . I think people are voting for wagner to try and get Katie out
|
Re: X Factor: 2010
There voting for Wagner to annoy Simon Cowell which is stupid as good singers well better singers than Wagner being voted out and then Simon Cowell Said last week that Trec was a better singer but he will keep in who the public find enternaning.:mad::mad: It's only the judges like her and cant understand who did keep her in tonight
|
Re: X Factor: 2010
I am bloody furious at this silly childest game that people are having, It is about time people got off Katie's back and got rid of that idiot Wagner, who is ten times worse than the Jedward twins.
It was also said tonight by Aiden after he lost out that the bottom three votes were on twitter, how the hell do they know, is there a mole in the voting office giving out details. This is a damn singing contest and Katie deserves to be there, Aiden doesn't, his attitude stinks, and there have been some good singers that have been voted off, and probably due to this sickining voting farce, that has to stop, otherwise the show will become a farce, and that is unfair on the singers that are good enough to win - remember this is a SINGING contest. |
Re: X Factor: 2010
The show has been a farse since last year. People like Katie and people dont. People like Wagner and people dont. I'm annoyed that the two of them were kept in but I'm not going to let it take over my life. Katie was crap last week on the sing of and Simon Cowell said that Treyc was the better singer but he wold keep Katie and let Treyc go.
|
Re: X Factor: 2010
The right one this week went home though to be honest.
That Aiden shouldn't have even got to the live shows, he can't sing in tune and wasn't even [painfully] entertaining like Wagner (or Jedward from last year). If Mary goes next followed by the Brazillian from Dudley the week after, Xfactor can finally become a singing competiton again. |
Re: X Factor: 2010
None of them are any good except Matt and good is all I would call him. None of them stand out. Matt stands out in a bad bunch
|

Wagner? :erm:
