This finally returns on Thursday June 24th with a 1 hour (2 ep) premier.

There are 26 new episodes in total, which are going to be broadcast as season 7 (13 eps) and season 8 (13 eps).

Futurama starts a week tomorrow, i can't wait! :)

I might go back and watch the films again, i've read the first episode of the new season carries on from the last film.

These are not the films spilt up again? Totally new episodes?

Although I thought the films where a big drop in quality from the series (which i think itself started to drop towards the end)

Totally new. The feature length episodes, & general DVD sales, were successful enough for it to get a new series :)

Oddly the 2 episodes available are listed as season 6. Seems they aren't counting the movies as a series?

There is some dispute about the season numbering from season 3 / 4 due to differing production and broadcast schedules - but looking at wikipedia, they seem to be using 1-4 for the originals, then 5 for the films, and 6 for the latest series - so I guess we should stick with that. Title amended

Indeed it was.

The cat one was ok I guess, but Robo Evolution, Time Machine and Mind Swap are my three favorites so far.

Only three more left in this series :(

For those that don't know (like me until just now) the series started up again a few weeks ago in the US. Theres been 4 episodes since its break in November with another 8 still to come.
