If this does not do well (which is possible) the last film may not be made. Do you know how it all ends ??

IMO Breaking Dawn would be the best film of them all, it explains so much, reveals so much and completes the saga.
Who would not want to see
Spoiler:

Edward and Bella's Marriage, Their Daughter, Bella become a vampire, a showdown with the volturi, Vampires and werewolves standing united.

Though I was surprised at the next book being a spinoff novella, I would have thought that Stephenie Meyer would have continued her work on Midnight Sun - The retelling of Twilight from Edward's perspective.

Yep Breaking dawn took all my hopes and wishes I had for Edward and Bella whilst reading 1,2 &3..Rolled them into a single book and added more drama.. Elcipse has the most action in it but I really do hope they make Breaking Dawn

After the leaked manuscript you can't blame her for giving up on an idea.. Midnight sun though is just a retelling of book 1 from Edwards point of view

Spoiler:
That's after they get married ;) They then bonk, baby grows at incredible speed and to save Bella's life during the birth Edwards sinks in his teeth.. I never thought it would actualy happen as all other vampire films never change the heroine.. The daughter is half/half and as the vultori don't like little baby vampires they decide to attack.. Not gonna tell you how the cullen clan win as I'd suggest you read the book which is in 3 sections, Bella, Jacob and then back to Bella..

More info, if you don't want to know then don't open the spoiler tabs :) but Breaking Dawn is an amazing book :)

I have all 4 books, plus the rough draft of midnight sun from Stephenie Meyer's site. It's well worth reading them all.

Spoiler:
Breaking dawn explains why Bella was so clumsy, her body was MEANT to be a Vampire, she has total control from day one, something vampires are not supposed to have for years. She stops herself on her FIRST hunt.

I would suggest you start from the first book, I'd already seen 1 & 2 but then decided on the books, the books again are better than the films and reading them all in order is great

You must read them in order or you will fail to understand the story.

The books are better than the movies but they give a more visual angle to the story.

:eeek: "As long as we can kill some vampires", it looks like a good one, thanks Kymmy.

I was lucky enough to get the first book and new moon for my birthday :D, im on new moon now, only on chapter 4 "waking up".

I've never known someone hate there birthday as much as Bella, she seems a pain in the neck in the books lol.

Re: Twilight: Eclipse

Just finished reading Breaking Dawn ...again.. They're apparently breaking the final book into two films which means a recast of a couple of characters due to them demanding more money (the same thing that meant a Victoria change)

Quote:

Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene, the actors who play the vampire Cullen kids, have rejected Summit Entertainment's offer to return for a fifth movie, thus holding up the studio's plan to split "Breaking Dawn" into two installments.

According to THR, Lutz and Greene are asking for in the $2 million range for each of two proposed "Breaking Dawn" movies, though some sources are quoting twice that figure. While lead actors Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner all successfully renegotiated their contracts for huge raises after the first "Twilight" movie struck gold, Summit did not offer to renegotiate with the Cullens. Reportedly, the salaries for the actors playing the Cullens has been comparatively low on the first three films, which might explain them wanting to cash in on "Breaking Dawn," the last of Stephenie Meyers' series of romantic vampire novels. As to "the big three," they are said to be close to deals with Summit
So looks like we might have a new Emmett and Alice

Re: Twilight: Eclipse

Hmmm, good film, great action and still being semi-true to the books....

....but... they really still haven't refound the spark that showed their love so strongly between Edward and Bella in the first film. The books just as much about their love than anything else and it is failing to come across lately.

Peter_ 04-07-2010 09:29

Re: Twilight: Eclipse

Went to see it yesterday and quite enjoyed it, to me it just helps visualise the books more than anything.

The next 2 movies should be good as that book is to long to just have the one.

Kymmy 04-07-2010 09:57

Re: Twilight: Eclipse

I wonder where they'll put the split??

Spoiler:
Probably just as Renesmee is born

Wonder how big the car budget is for Breaking Dawn?

zing_deleted 04-07-2010 10:56

Re: Twilight: Eclipse

I personally do not think there has been enough character building. Not enough info on the past of the Cullens. I went last night and enjoyed the insight into Jasper and Roselie as well as an insight into the Indians/wolves. To many charectors with missing backgrounds for me

Still I enjoyed the movie

Excellent line from one of the reviews - "Amazing how the budgets of the poor werewolf families can only run to denim shorts and weightlifting equipment"

I am pleased the rumoured recast of some of the Cullens has not happened for Breaking Dawn though

Shows how little the reviewer knows of Native Americans then.

Re: Twilight: Eclipse

I'm not good with reviews and words so all i can say is i loved the film! i loved how it showed the heritage of the wear wolves, and the fight was amazing! took my breath away nearly, was it me or did you sense abit of comedy in it? like when Edward said "Does he not own a shirt?" haha, Jacob acted like a desperate person, NO MEANS NO JACOB :), i laughed so hard when Bella punched Jacob.. then broke her wrist haha.

Spoiler:
shocked that Victoria died

Loved it!

Re: Twilight: Eclipse

Saw the film yesterday morning - thought it was better than the first and second - but it's all one story broken up so shouldn't really compare.

I saw the 11 Am showing and I've never seen a cinema look so full since the Lord of the Rings.

The romance is all there in film 3 from the books so not understanding you Kymmy when you say it isn't.

Kymmy 04-07-2010 14:50

Re: Twilight: Eclipse

Yes the romance is portrayed but in the first film you really felt the love blossoming between Edward and Bella, I thought that most of the love scenes in this film felt very false.. Might just be me but definately a different feel to the relationship especially when compared to the books where it gets stronger and stronger..

You have to read the books for their stories and the is a lot more detail, I enjoy the movies as I have said before because it brings the characters to life in the books.

Re: Twilight: Eclipse

Native Americans aren't subject to some of the same laws as other Americans. For example Gambling is legal on the 'res' or Reservation therefore they are a prime spot where Casinos are prevalent in the US. Second. Living on 'res' renders you immune to taxation, you get a 'tax exempt' card which means sales tax is not added at the point of sale. There is a high tax free income prevalent on 'res' which isn't obvious to outsiders because without tax figures the income level is hard to ascertain.
