Blueyonder eMail not working
 
email to my Blueyonder email accounts does not arrive. i.e. sending a test msg to abc@blueyonder.co.uk does not arrive in the mailbox. This goes for all my blueyonder domain email addresses and aliases.

Exactly the same with me.Started yesterday.Virgin forums are full of people having problems due to virgin migrating email accounts, although virgin say it should not be causing problems.Another case of the "its working well so we will fix it" syndrome.Nothing on the helpline and customer services just read off a script and try to suggest that you check all of your settings that have worked well for years and do not accept that it is a problem caused by them.

Nothing new in my in-box via outlook express since 19th FEB.....!!!!!!!!!

I know a lot of people not getting any mail. it's all this Gmail mess that's causing it.

Update: I have managed to send myself an email addressed to the primary mailbox name. Seems it is the aliases that do not work.

I may be wrong but I was having this problem a few weeks back, I contacted the help centre, he assured me there was nothing wrong and sent me a test e-mail. It showed on his screen but still nothing on mine. Later I reloaded my mail page (possibly virgin mail?) I got a completely different looking page (Gmail) but everything has been ok since.

Well, this worked once, it does not work consistently as for now.

status page is saying all is ok can you please sign up.

it's not a high enough priority apparently :(

Hi,
Just rang Virgin. Not receiving any emails since 9am this morning. Status page does not give any issues. Test emails to myself do not arrive. Logged into Web Mail and it showed over 800 old emails in my inbox!!! Rang helpline, message said problem with email and the engs should fix by 8:30AM!!!!!!!!!! Spoke to techie, his status page is different to ours shows the problems... Oh for God Sake!!! He checked my account... something about porting to a different platform... outcome was I should wait as eng is working on it!! Oh yes like last year... took days to fix!!! NOT HAPPY!

I am not receiving any emails into my Blueyonder mailboxes since yesterday, Sunday.

Please Virgin WAKE UP,this is causing real problems.At least put something on the status page.It is terrible how you treat customers and then have the nerve to put prices up and promise that great improvements are taking place.I do not want "improvements" i just want a reliable service!!!

I am having the same problem. I am only receiving very delayed emails every now and then. I have had problems for a few days. It seems clear that it is VirginMedia at fault (again).

I totally agree with jls. I cannot understand why they cannot update the status page but instead leave their customers to ring them up, search forums or start pulling their hair out. It is ridiculous.

Do they like us ringing them up? Also, I am a bit tired of these problems that keep recurring with no information. I want a reliable email service that actually delivers email straight away. Over the past year I have had loads of emails that could have been sent/received quicker via the Royal Mail - and that really is saying something.

Today I have booked a hotel and made a purchase online - no email confirmations received. Also, my business email address is re-directed to my blueyonder email. Absolutely rubbish service and very poor customer information. Not happy.

Are you using your main account, not an alias?

I just tested mine (never use it) and it worked ok

Your email service is being upgraded. Please enter your email address to check if your account has been moved to our new system

Blueyonder customers must use their primary email address instead of an alias.

mine was moved a few weeks ago and has been fine aside of getting a few 2 year old emails delivered

will i have to give other people my primary address or my normal one ?

But no doubt other, more wiser users will appear, sort of like pixies on pcp :)

tip for blueyonder.co.uk usernames: We recently made a change that means that you can now only log in with the primary email address on each of your mailboxes, and you can no longer log in with secondary aliases. If you're not sure what your primary username is, you can check it here. This change was needed in order for us to launch some exciting new web and email services in the near future - more info

just tried both adresses through windows mail and nothing logged into my account on virgin mail and no emails there either

seems to be working now just got the first test mail from an hour and a half ago :shrug:
