Halo: Reach
Well I've never really seen the appeal in the Halo game. I'm not sure why but I just didnt. Maybe I've missed out on something special I dont know but what I do know is that I want Halo: Reach !
I seen the following trailer lastnight and was hooked, it looks brilliant. The trailer is around 8 mins long with the developers talking about the game cut with gameplay footage. http://www.eurogamer.net/videos/halo...-diary?size=hd From what I gather the game is based around an elite squad(You control the new member) and set before the event's of the Halo games. AFAIK it applies to all copies of the game - if you have ODST, you will receive access to the Reach MP beta.

ODST is set around the time of Halo 2 / Halo 3 IIRC, following on from events in Halo 2.
I guess without knowing the other games you will still be able to get the basic gist of it, but it would obviously help if you had played the others. I did really enjoy it (& the voicecast is awesome), but the single player campaign is rather short. |

I'm thinking of getting this with the Halo 360 next month if it's still available then. It looks a lot better than Halo 3 which I thought was OK.

It looks great.
I've not really been following Reach. Not read any previews, didn't play the beta, etc. I ordered it 'cos I like the Halo games, & I hoped it'd be something special for Bungie's swansong, especially after ODST (which was a bit of a let down). Reading those reviews though... Now I'm actually quite hyped for it. |

Im an Admin on the biggest Halo forum in Europe, HaloReachForum.eu.... would be great to see some of you guys over on it.
We are mainly a competitive forum however. My game was meant to arrive yesterday but it didnt =( |

was never a mad fan of halo (except number 1 on the original xbox and using gamespy to play online lol) but looks like this is going to be promising heard nothign but good things, going to have to purchase it :D

Never properly played a Halo game ever. I played something like five minutes of the first one on the original xbox at a friends house but that was about it, Though I've always been intrigued about the hype surrounding them.
After watching a couple trailers over the last few weeks and a couple developer diaries I've decided to give this one a chance. Was dispatched today so fingers crossed it arrives tomorrow :) |

I went to the midnight launches for Halo3 (Gamestation store credit for the Legendary Edition) & Modern Warfare 2 (mega-queue at ASDA to get it cheap). Can't be bothered with that sort of thing now, it's easier to just order online & have it delivered, especially as the supermarkets aren't doing as many launch-deals as they used to (I think Tesco are only selling it cheap if you buy some Microsoft Points too).

I remember the hype for the last Halo, probably the least played game I've ever bought. I probably won't fall for it this time. Still F1 is out in a couple of weeks.

Didn't get the Legendary in the end. Just went for the Collectors Edition.
What a great game. Only a few missions in and its so good :) |

I enjoyed the game but its just part of a seperate trilogy to be honest.
We've had the 3 main games and now we have ODST Reach Watch this space. 3 prequels and I'm hoping the next release is the final in this trilogy and is based on the first contact with the covenant. An invasion storyline etc. But as many others seem to believe, halo 4 is in the pipeline. |
