That is good to know as it is not listed on the residential side.

20Mb BBB I think has STM though the limits are really high and the times are different. Nothing yet on 10Mb or 4Mb..

A lot of people don;t think of ntl/tw business as being VM but they are still part of the VM group and also use exactly the same cables, ubr's as the residential service

I know that as my online tools tell what connections are on the uBR that I am checking out for a customer but I doubt many others even notice it.

All residential customers with the exception of 50Mb can and will be traffic managed if they exceed the the limits specified in my earlier post above.

You can place on each PC a program like DUMETER (linked to on VM's STM page), though you;ll need to add up the totals.

or if you have a decent router then that will log the data throughput and can be accessed via another program (totally depends on the router you have)

Ignitionnet 10-02-2010 09:36

Re: traffic management

VM told Ofcom they would be providing customers with a way to track their usage online though this relies on VM working out how to track it reliably themselves.

Re: traffic management

Thanks i have the netgear router Virgin provide. How can i tell with that please

Kymmy 10-02-2010 10:00

Re: traffic management

I don't think the netgear has that capability, you will probably need to use the individual programs.
