Is anyone having problems with there tv tonight?

The screen is all Blocky and can not be watched.

Just wanted to know if anyone esle was having problems?

I am living in the SK11 area.

This has been happening to us too, on and off since this afternoon. The sound goes too. I checked in here to see if anyone else was having the problem....

Same here in SK6 - broadband was down for a while but is up again now, if a bit sluggish

Most channels "blocky" here is SK10 (Macc/Prestbury). HD channel seems fine. Broadband very slow as well.

I'm a tad dissapointed, no Doctor Who / Royal Family etc on Catchup TV and now no TV.

The voice on the end of 150 says it went bad at 7pm and should be working by 11.

Stop press: The Royle Family has appeared on Catchup TV. But is not watchable at the moment.

Most channels also affected on the V+ box here in SK7. The normal box upstairs is okay ?????

Do you think its worth calling Virgin? will they be there this time of night?

The 150 voice says they have found the fault.... and it will be fixed by 8am. There goes the Outnumbered Christmas Special...

It maybe me but for the first time in years Virgin seems to have more than its fair share of outages. (We had no broadband recently for a day or so).

Ours is the same in SK6 - picture was terrible on most channels but now OK, just slightly blocky and jumpy in places. Is it also me or is the general quality looking worse? Have they got a workaround in place to drop the bandwidth till they can fix whatever the fault is?

BB was also off but now on again.

We've just switched the BBC news on and the problem is still there - blockiness alongside loss of sound. I've noticed the broadband signal dropping too. Will call 150...

Mine seems ok now.....make sure you reboot the box though.

Ours was still a bit jumpy on some channels this morning, but the picture quality generally is back to normal.

Broadband is giving around 19mb which is unheard of - normally struggle to get anything over 7 or 8 when it's a "peak" time.

Maybe everyone's gone to the sales.

I reboot box this morning and all seems ok now.

Does anyone know what the problem was? as cant see anything on Virgins website.

For some reason my box is now doing a update!!!!

Do virgin do updates during the day? and also when the football is on!!!!

Been doing it here in Leeds too - annoyingly during the final part of Day of the triffids - I switched over to TV Freeview to see the end - may still be doing it for all I know (can't tell as I'm here on the computer) :-)

We don't do updates during peak times, so you may well have a fault.
