Boot up problems
Hi guys just gone to switch my SA V+ box on this morning and the loading process stops once the VM logo appears then nothing! I have tried the reset switch and turning it off for 5 mins then back on again but still the same, any suggestions?

Me too,my Samsung sticks on LD:30 and my Pace on NiT. If i hold down the down arrow on boot, both boxes get to the AP:52 stage.
What area are you in? I'm Grimsby :) |

Re: Boot up problems
Rang the faults line but there is no recorded msg regarding any faults and the lines are not open until 8am (are they even open on Xmas Eve?)

Re: Boot up problems
Hi guys,
Same for me to, i live in Nottingham. |
Re: Boot up problems
My sammy V stb was working when I woke up but the tv listing weren't there so I tried a reboot. Big mistake as now won't get past ld:20/30. My V+ is still working ok but I won't be doing a reboot to check.
The faults line is busy at the minute so I am hoping enough people are calling to get it sorted out. I'm in Lincoln btw which comes under notts. |
Re: Boot up problems
It will be back up in a few hours, it's happened before - fingers crossed

Re: Boot up problems
I have two V+ boxes. The silver one boots up ok, but the black one sticks on AP-52

Re: Boot up problems
Same in Melton Mowbray shows LD30 on both V+ and standard box. Reported it at 8am and thought to be an area problem but they booked an engineer for this afternoon in case. Mega Surprise about an engineer being available.

Re: Boot up problems
Do not turn your box off if you have pics .I take it people who turn there boxes off at night have this problem ? .There seems to be a problem on the Langley platform so we have been told :D

Re: Boot up problems
My box just hung in the TV on demand area. Rebooted, now get AP52.
Any news from Virgin on this yet, and how do you get into the Engineer/Tech screen ? I am in cambridge. |
Re: Boot up problems
Both boxes back on here in Grimsby :)

Re: Boot up problems
I'm in Hemel Hempstead and had a box with LD30/20 on it and a black screen with virgin media on my TV. Finally got through to Virgin (25mins) as I was speaking to the girl the box sprang into life and I now have full service!
The girl at Virgin said that they opened the lines at 8am to 800+ fault calls. Fingers crossed your virgin box springs into life soon...Merry Christmas |
Re: Boot up problems
My box is always off overnight and this hasn't happened before.
|
Re: Boot up problems
Back on now
|
Re: Boot up problems
Back on in the Teesside area as well :D
|
Re: Boot up problems
Back on in Cambridge - internet went down, reset that and everything including TV came back. Obviously some big red reset button got pressed somewhere in virgin central!
Have had performance issue's all week on internet and cable, so hopefully virgin have rebooted in some more bandwidth for the holiday period!? |
Re: Boot up problems
All OK in Melton Mowbray and cancelled the engineer
|
Re: Boot up problems
Yeah.. we had a little issue this morning... all sorted now...
:xmas: everyone! |
Re: Boot up problems
Why oh why do people switch their boxes off ? they are designed to be left on all the time,if they were left on, as they should be, there wouldn't be any of the problems that continually get posted on this site, with regard to booting up daily ....
|
Re: Boot up problems
I switch my boxes off because I cannot sleep with my bedroom illuminated by all those lights. If they could fix that with a dimmer or something else to cut out the bright lights, I would leave it on.
