Hadron Collider thing gone skew-whiff?
UFOs? Someone pressed the wrong button at EISCAT? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EISCAT
or just something boring like a failed Russian rocket/missile launch?

I for one bow to our new, unknown overlords :p:

Aurora Borealis or fake!

Why did the Daily Heil and the Sun find it necessary to enhance the pictures. It makes look more like it came out of a cheap nineteen fifties B-movie.

I love the way we have to be provided with an artist's impression so we can understand what it is we are not viewing properly...

Whilst i find this fascinating, where is the coverage from the other news sites? I could not find anything on the BBC etc earlier on this afternoon?

Still looks pretty cool though, would love to have been there with my 50mm and a tripod :)

^ to make their worm hole to allow the rest of their friends to come visit our wonderful planet or just to look like superior beings which it would be hard for them not to be.
