Re: Top Gear (in HD)
Wonder if the 9:00 watershed slot has anything to do with the complaints from earlier this year? http://entertainment.timesonline.co....cle6909661.ece

Excellent :tu: in glorious HD :D

Re: Top Gear (in HD)
Was brilliant. The 9pm watershed was something to do with XFactor or something. Its back on at 8pm next week according to the website.

Re: Top Gear (in HD)
Anyone know how far in advance they film the segments? I just saw Hammond with a camera crew with him in a van that said "Top Ar" on it. I couldn't see the rest cause his side door was open. Plus he waved at me. :D Only saw him though... God knows why they'd wanna film in Middlesbrough.

Re: Top Gear (in HD)
I went and watched some more filming today. :D It was at an art gallery. They're doing exhibitions over the next few days. All 3 of them really are like they are on TV.

Re: Top Gear (in HD)
Cool :D

Re: Top Gear (in HD)
Brilliant idea to put it on after 9pm they can do what they want :)
Will miss having people complain though. I love it when they annoyed people. |
Re: Top Gear (in HD)
Topgear is one of those shows, that can be so outrageous, but the BBC won't axe it because it gets the figures and cash in. TBH I think its the only decent programme that the BBC has (apart from Spooks :D)
Last night's was classic... Although, the "car" design could have been better :) |
Re: Top Gear (in HD)
They wouldn't have got away with the symbol painted on Jezzer's cheek before 9pm :)
Very funny but very little of their stuff has anything to do with your average motorist :( Not many get throw a supercar sideways around an airfield. |
Re: Top Gear (in HD)
No but thats kind of the point. fifth gear is now the geek/average motorists car show. topgear is just throwing cars around a track and having fun :) I watch both I have to say

Re: Top Gear (in HD)
The Bolivian special was brilliant.
You have to admire Clarkson. Q. How can I enrage environmentalists even more? A. I know, i'll drive a Range Rover through a rainforest and start cutting down trees. |

Oh and health and safety and insurance companies must have been bricking it. Loved the program. :o) |
Re: Top Gear (in HD)
It was probably a Range Rover that they normally use.
|
Re: Top Gear (in HD)
How close was Jeremy close to dying - about 46 minutes in, a white Toyota Landcruiser is waived to stop as he passes that cliff.
Now I know some of you will shout FAKE, but come on something can still go wrong with the stunt. |
Re: Top Gear (in HD)
One thing that makes it look like a stunt is where all the cameras where for that section. It's the main problem Top Gear has when it comes to stunts.

The rain forest one was fantastic, the only one that was better imo was the caravanning one lol
|
Re: Top Gear (in HD)
This week's is absolutely brilliant. Better than it has been in a long while.
And the postmen of Sheperd's Bush are going to be busy with complaints from road safety campaigners :p: |
Re: Top Gear (in HD)
That was an awesome speed in the Veyron 431kph (267.810984 mph).
Didn't Tom Cruise drive that car faster than the stig? (He equaled it) |
Re: Top Gear (in HD)
Tell you what after watching tonights show I can see why people moan about todays F1, I was sat on the edge of my seat watching those scenes of Senna overtaking etc. Awesome, just awesome.
|
Re: Top Gear (in HD)
Didn't Lewis say he was gonna drive with one hand - I didn't see him do it. I might have actually missed it if he did.
|
Re: Top Gear (in HD)
No he didn't do it. I liked Cruise & Cameron in the reasonably priced car :)
|
Re: Top Gear (in HD)
|
Re: Top Gear (in HD)
If you're looking to buy a car then the best thing to watch is fifth gear, but if you are wanting to see you're dream car driven then it's top gear.
