Corel PSP 10 free

Corel are presently giving this away free...

It's a very good alternative to Photoshop and has some features that are better.:)

Tried installing it and it came up with "winstepbystep" will run every time you start windows? I said "no" it said "I'm not installing then" and flounced off???

Any idea what it was trying to install and why it would need to run when i booted up?

Didn't ask me that.

In fact, very impressed as it had 'install yahoo toolbar' unticked by default!

It was actually "zone alarm pro" brought it to my attention and denied it access

You can change it to nag only every 30 days by clicking on 'Schedule Reminder', or have you tried selecting already purchased? (Not sure how clever the reminder is re that one!)...

I've tried selecting already purchased and also changed the nag to 30 days, but it defaults back to 7 days and when i close the program i get the nag screen everytime.

I'm glad it was useful to everyone.:D

Unfortunately I already have version XI so it wasn't any use to me...I've been keeping up with the upgrades thus far from way back when I got version 8 at a special price...;)

Installs perfectly on Windows 7 32bit here. It unzips to an install folder then you run setup.

Have you tried installing it in XP compatibility mode?

Re: Corel PSP 10 free

It goes through the motions but then diddly squat, will give compatibility a try.

I had problems the first time but that was due to my Comodo Proactive Defence and after disabling that for the install, all was well.

Matty_ 18-07-2009 16:44

Re: Corel PSP 10 free

I`ve got CIS on as well, will try disabling Defence+ and see if it works. I thought it might be something to do with the protexis service.

Cheers SnoopZ

You could save the image somewhere, then open it in Windows Photoviewer then right click the mouse and 'set as desktop background'.

Alternatively do it via the windows properties window, and you can get to this in XP by right clicking on the desktop, then properties then browsing to the file location.

See below.

Change wallpaper in Vista. Change wallpaper in XP.

Also if you wish to keep your pictures handy so they are selectable as desktop wallpaper is to save them in c:\windows\web\wallpaper\ as either a JPG or BMP file
