Mock The Week

Mock the Week is back on Thursday on BBC2 at 9pm for season 7, as this time of the year can often have a drought of decent shows it's good that it's back.

Can't wait to hear Frankie's view on the last few weeks ;)

Anyone else looking forward to it?

Excellent show - let's hope Frankie Boyle is back for the series :)

Re: Mock The Week

Glad to be of service :)

All the regulars will be there, and for the first episode they're joined by Frank Skinner and Gina Yashere

Judging by the Daily Record column he wrote (that didn't get published and ended up with him losing the Saturday writing gig) I'd imagine its a cert.

I would give a link but there is some naughty language involved so you'll have to :google: it.

Does the pope crap in the woods.... ohh wait.. that might be wrong..

I'm on his mailing list, seems he had to quit his column at the Daily Record for some MJ comments, he sent a copy of it out to everyone.. Usual Frankie stuff

So I'm sure it will get a mention :D

Re: Mock The Week

Sorry for bumping this back up, but as a new series has started I thought it was worth getting the jump leads out.

Well the first show of series 8 was shown on Thursday ( iPlayer if you missed it)

After seeing it, I'm just hoping that Patrick Kielty isn't a regular member of the team.

Yet another revival for this thread (sorry!)

The new series of Mock the Week starts tonight at 22.00 on BBC2 and repeated Sunday at 22:30

Tonight's show features Dara O Briain with regulars Hugh Dennis, Russell Howard and Andy Parsons joined by guests Diane Morgan, Milton Jones and Chris Addison.

Please insert your <it's not the same without Frankie comments below> ;)

Still a damn good show though!!

Anyone know why this weeks episode was a repeat of last week?

Re: Mock The Week

It's back to normal this week, guests will be Milton Jones, Patrick Kielty and Zoe Lyons.

Wonders if Patrick Kielty will work his Facebook "China likes this" joke in AGAIN ;)

According to Dara O'Briain on Twitter, it was a scheduling decision.

"And further apologies for Mock the Week being a repeat this week. A scheduling decision made months ago. All new petty sniping next Thursday"

It's not the same without Frankie ;)

Andy Parsons remains by far the weakest regular. Russell is getting better with age though, relying less on his 'hilarious' voices and getting darker in his humour.

Hugh Dennis remains a legend but not quite the same without Frankie to play off.

Dara called Frankie the 'Dark Heart' of Mock, he was absolutely right.

Re: Mock The Week

After tonight's episode Mock the Week ( It's repeated tomorrow at 11:05pm and on Saturday at 9:45pm if you missed it or on iPlayer) will return at the beginning of September, due to parliament recess/comedians being at the Edinburgh festival.

Next week there is a new compilation episode.

Re: Mock The Week

I'm still to watch Mock the week: Too hot for TV 1 & 2 on DVD.

Why hasn't Jimmy Carr done MtW?

I reckon the BBC would poo themself with what he might say.
