Re: Moto GP:
Aye good season this year with Rossi & the other top 3 (now all equal). Good races all round in Wet & Flag to Flag races. Todays final lap was great (not like F1 lol)
Oh & Suzi's on it too. :p: |
Re: Moto GP:
Todays race was one of the best battles Ive seen, Rossi, Lorenzo & Stoner. Reminded me of the old days with Hailwood, Ivy & Reed.
Rossi showed why he is called "The Doctor". Once Lorenzo took off Stoner was sunk. The final lap was superb, team Yamaha are in top form. All 3 with 106 points each. My moneys on Rossi, but who knows.:) |

That last pass by Rossi was one for the books, I`d love to have heard Lorenzo as Rossi went by.:) |

Cracking double bill - F1 and Moto GP

Re: Moto GP:
Saw the race on Eurosport, just about stayed dry. D'oh Ducati on wets ! The one thing that commentators always say is be on the right tyres for the conditions.

Re: Moto GP:
Rossi did well to get back to 5th after his spill,
I have some fond memories of the races at Donington. The Ducati teams decision to go on full wets was a disaster, although some of the rain has been torrential the days prior. Quite an odd race, all the ones who usually fall off finished the race, nice to see Colin Edwards on the podium too. Toseland was unlucky to be pipped by Rossi for 5th. Roll on the next round :) |

Re: Moto GP:
The surface at Indianapolis is awful even in the dry, we've already had a few in the kitty litter.
|
Re: Moto GP:
After seeing the race on Sunday, I'm really not sure that the Brickyard circuit is suitable for MotoGP races, while it might satisfy the safety standards, the fact that it's only used once a year and the multiple changes in track surface can't be a good thing. in places you could see it cracking up it was only missing a few dandelions.
I've not seen any complaints by any of the riders though, so maybe it looked worse than it actually is. As an ex biker myself it did cause me some concern, anyone else have any opinions on it? |
Re: Moto GP:
Casey Stoner really back on form, great win at Melbourne, Lorenzo had a nightmare start and lucky not to had more injuries than his nose, amazing that Nicky Hayden wasn't dismounted too.
Malaysia next weekend. |
Re: Moto GP:
Really gutted for Lorenzo, he`s tried so hard to win, he deserves it. I`m a Rossi fan, but Lorenzo's determination is winning me over. When he clipped the bike, I thought he had gotten away with it, but it wasn't to be.
No chance now poor fella. He`s a bloody good rider. |
Re: Moto GP:
Given his season to date you have got to be glad for Casey. What a talent...

Really good race despite being delayed... I won't post more yet in case some of you are watching the re run on BBC 2 at lunchtime.

Re: Moto GP:
Congratulations to The Doctor on wining his 9th title. What was the egg thing all about though
The man is class, class, class! I hope Casey Stoner stays injury/virus free for next season and Lorenzo stays on the bike a bit more, then it could be one of the closest championships in a long time.... |
Re: Moto GP:
I have no idea about the egg either.. He said something in the interview about old hens not laying as many eggs or something
Stoner has really been on form since his return, and simply amazing today in the wet. as you say Matty if he can be free of the virus that plagued him this season, it could be a great season next year. |

Re: Moto GP:
What a great Moto2 race from Jerez.
Race was reduced to 17 laps on restart after 8 riders were downed by a fuel spill. Pit crews did an amazing job to fix the bikes in 15 mins. Watch this race if you missed it.. fantastic!! |
Re: Moto GP:
What a brilliant race that was, Lorenzo did a fantastic job after getting passed early on but whats with the jumping in the water
Funny though :D Valentino seems happy with third and Pedrosa seems happy with second, all in all a great watch, overtaking, bit of bumping, hard racing. If Lorenzo keeps that sort of from going all season he has a good shot at being champion. |
Re: Moto GP:
GP race was excellent too, Lorenzo and Pedrosa have no love for each other and it showed in the racing, really good performance from Lorenzo. Rossi was quiet, probably due to the shoulder problems, and happy with 3rd.
Stoner is beaten by Hayden again too. 2 races in and shaping up to be an interesting battle. Quote:
