Grand National 2009

It's about to start on BBC1.

I have £2 on Darkness for each way. :)

My, the missus, and two of my daughters have each picked two horses and put a £1 each way on them.

Here's a brief result in a spoiler:
Spoiler:

Mon Mome won at 100-1!

My girlfriend placed a bet on Hear The Echo, who collapsed and died at the last jump. :(

Re: Grand National 2009

Over the whole race there were many fallers/retirements but the rest of the horses and jockeys were fine.

I couldn't watch it, I was playing with my phone while Anton & family were watching avidly.

I had a few little bets (25p!) to win on silly odds, including Mon wotsit... & that one at 500-1 that came in 4th I think.. :D

For the record, Mon Mome was 100-1 too!

Just got back home from freezing my nuts off at Ice Station Zebra, or Boundary Park as it is better known, watched the Latics get mugged by Posh courtesy of the worst disallowed goal for offside I have ever seen.

The wife who also has a season ticket decided it was to cold to join me so had a little flutter instead.

She only went and put a fiver each way on the bloody winner.

£635 was waved under my nose when I walked through the door.

Jim.

Off to a caravan near Blackpool on Monday so my 50p e/w on the winner will pay for the day at the pleasure beach for the family:D
