Help need keys for stereo
 

HI THERE I HAVE A FORD COUGAR ND TOOK MY BAT OUT AND NOW IT SAYS ON THE CD PLAYER U NEED TO PUT A CODE IN I CANT FIND THE CODE ANY WHERE CAN ANYONE HELP ME?:dunce:

Was it already with the car ? if so its usually somewere in the log book if it hasnt been changed that is.

HI YA no i need the key code yes its in the car still not in the log book nothing i no some where people can give u the code if u give them the serial number?

i brought the pins to get it out the car but need the code so it works again going on holiday with no sound lol need to sort it out asap but im ot to good with cars

Take the logbook along to any Ford dealer and they'll sort you out, normally costs about a tenner.

So you need the key to your car stereo and are looking to "source a copy of windows".... no comment lol

No otherwise any thief could steal a cd player out of a car and get around Ford's security. But you've obviously got the logbook so that won't be a problem for you.

Yes but we brought the car off my uncle which for some reason dont have the code my partner is going to go to the local ford place thanks for ya help,

Take the stereo, double check it's not been written on the actual player.

A metal coat hanger would have done, that or 2 terminal screw divers, do one side at a time, I have the code generator for most makes, I'll have a look see, otherwise Swoop could help :tu:

EDIT: I need the serial and or any other info please, via pm or open, it's not the end of the world.

There is loads of crap web sites and software that will tell you they can give you the code for a price but for all its worth your local Ford dealer will have the info and its just as easy at a small.

i used the site linked to above and got the code took about 7 days to get it but saved me going to ford, because the works van had to have the bat changed and when they did it they didn't use a memory saver, but they wouldn't pay to get the code so i got it of there for free.
