Well most of us have known its comming but now we get to see the first ever trailer for uncharted 2. Its only a tease trailer but the full trailer will be revealed on the 14th of December :)

Most PS3 owners will have heard of Uncharted before and know it was one of the Playstations biggest success storys this current generation of consoles.

I for one will be looking forward to this with alot of excitment. After seeing what Naughty Dog did with their first outing on the PS3 I can only assume this this game will be stunning after having more time with the hardware.

Naughty Dog were one of the first developers that started to actually tap into the Playstations power and as a result they produced an visually stunning game in Uncharted: Drakes fortune.

Look forward to December 14th PS3 fans for a real trailer for Uncharted 2 and then hopefully 09 we will get to taste the real thing :)

Uncharted is still, IMO, one of the top-two exclusive games on the PS3 - the other being MGS4.

I would easily agree with you Matt on both game's. They are also my top 2 games on the PS3 system.

I really cant wait for this one. I've been looking forward to it since the minute I finshed the first one lol and yes I'm that sad.

I hope the rumours of it being a trilogy are correct and if done right I think it could do what Tomb Raider did for the PS1/PS2.

The first one was the very first game I played on my PS3 last Christmas. Couldn't keep off it.

I wonder how long we'll have to wait? Another year maybe?

I dont know if the following it true as I'v never used the source berfore so have no experience but if it is - Wow Uncharted 2 is going to be even more viually stunning than the first.

This worries me slightly but hopefully they will know more about programming for the ps3 platform , i enjoyed unchartered but it suffered from incredibly bad v-sync issues and quite a few fps problems in busy sections, if they sort this with better visuals then fine ,, i can't wait :)

When I first heard it has multiplayer, I was a bit disappointed & was worried that it would be some pointless DM type thing just tacked on because "Everything has to have multiplayer".

Co-op though... very interesting :)

Nothing to be disappointed about anyway I think tbh. As long as it did not take away from there core game design to focus on MP then I think its fine.

Also the fact that the way the Co-Op is setup means theres huge potential for CO-OP DLC makes me very happy :)

As I said earlier in the thread, back in December, "Uncharted is still, IMO, one of the top-two exclusive games on the PS3 - the other being MGS4."

It's excellent. Brilliant graphics, gameplay, action, story, etc. If you have a PS3, then "Uncharted: Drake's Fortune" is quite simply A.Must.Buy.

Story driven 3rd person action-adventure. Kind of... Tomb Raider with Gears of War esque cover-combat. Not original, but bloody good. And better than the TR games IMO.

I agree with Matt 100% on that if you own a PS3 this is a must have game. It was probably one of the first games that got the PS3 some notice. An excellent exclusive. Can be picked up very cheaply now to as Matt said.

Cool, Should be getting mine tomorrow. Got Infamous today but the code is provided through the website on friday.

PS - The code aint much use yet is it as I thought the Beta does not begin till 3rd june ? Maybe it will allow you to download but you shouldnt be able to play online yet.

I had a qiuck go lastnight and it worked both on compertative and Co-Op Just fine. Not sure why its not for you. Probably because everyone is overloading the servers all trying to play at the same time possibly.

Is it the same map that came with the beta from the Infamous game ? Its currently subscribers only now due to all the free keys going. Less than a month now anyway. Cant wait :)

Eurogamer have done a Tech Analysis of the game. They seem very impressed. Its 3 pages long but worth a look if your intrested. Theres also some Tech video's through-out the article.

have been sat on the fence on this one for a while , enjoyed unchartered and my only complaint imo would be bad v-sync issues , Unchartered 2 however has just got my full attention , not been playing x-box or ps3 for ages , seems this is gonna change things :)

Has any one else been playing the multiplayer demo? , downloaded this morning and got hooked instantly , good weapons , good maps but still getting used to the fact you can climb buildings and walls takes a little getting used to the camera angles but excellent so far :)

I've played it once. It is diffrent from the Beta I got with Infamous, it has more maps. I only got a hance to play the snow map with the rocket launchers. that was awesome though :) Only just under 2 weeks to go :)

I totally and utterly cannot wait, I haven't been this excited about a game since...oooh now, let me see...nope, NEVER been this excited about a game. It's a - shut the blinds, kick the cats out, open the Maltesers, jam on the headphones, charge the controller, wee in a bucket - kinda thing. I shall now go and lie down in a darkened room for ....wait, when does the game get released?........*sigh*

I've only had my PS3 a few weeks now, but I'm tempted to pick up Uncharted 1 cheap, as having played the demo of 2 I was really impressed, and a few PS3 owning friends of mine have said.. "Jo, go get it, it's under a tenner now!!"

So many good games...... so little cash ;)

If you can't afford it at the moment, will a friend not borrow you it? It's an excellent game and I recommend you play it. Although apparantly playing Uncharted 2 won't spoil Uncharted 1 for those that haven't played it.

Typical I go on holliday for a couple of weeks and they release this awsome beta on psn.

have to say only played a few death matches so far but wow, I cant wait for the full game to fall trough my letterbox.

on the back of playing the demo , i have now booked the release day off work :) , really enjoying this , been really spoilt on the ps3 this year , Killzone 2 and Unchartered 2 , can't wait to play the single player and by the amount of enjoyment i am getting from the multiplayer it looks like it may delay me buying Modern warfare 2 :shocked:

not sure about skins , but i you get a gold ak47 and pistol in multiplayer :) , gonna pick a SE up if they have one in hmv or game , can't wait , was looking for a few people to play some co-op with .......

Dispatch by Game today :) You never know I might even get it thursday :) Haven't used Game in years so not sure what they are like for pre-orders. How long does it normally take after dispatch for you game to arrive ?

If Game sent it out today then you may get it tomorrow, although RM could be having a shocker OR they'll be placed on hold until Friday. Every pre-order i've had with Game has come the day before release apart from GTA which was sent a couple of days before release but they didn't let the PO release them until Friday.

I've just returned from the hospital to find uncharted on the doormat but I cant play it as Ive fractured the side of my hand and had my finger's taped together. I wish I weren't such an idiot at times :cry::cry::cry:

Just a post:

They've changed a few things button wise. You now have to reload with R2, not up on d-pad. You aim the grenades with L2, and shot them with it.

I'm sure that is different because you can't select grenades on d-pad anymore.

That has to be a torture of some description , got to be as bad as : taking the day off work , setting off early to get to hmv , walking in hmv (had bonus bond vouchers) to find no copies of unchartered 2 , thinking , never mind i will go to Game to buy it instead , walking in game , no copies of unchartered 2, then going very red and feeling highly annoyed at having wasted a day off due to own stupidity :mad:

played the single player for a couple of hours , decided to start on hard difficulty and think it was definately the right decision as i think it would have been a little easy on normal (had read this also on another forum) , the graphics are breathtaking probably , definately the best i have seen on any console, an hour or so of multiplayer to get back into the swing of things and yet again hooked. Hows everyone else finding it?

I am loving it in fact, I had a break from it so I didn't finish it too soon! I tried the multiplayer and that is the best multiplayer game I have played.

Elimination is good, its like team deathmatch but once your dead you are dead for the whole round, no respawning. This is good because people tend to be a bit more careful rather than just charging in like they would in deathmatch so it makes it a more tactical game.

Also there is nothing more satisfying than throwing a gas cylinder and shooting it in mid air to take out an opponent!

Well I have to say what an amazing experience it was playing Uncharted 2. Couldnt play it for the first week because of a broken hand and then caught a virus(me not console) lol but once I finally got my hand's on it it was truly an amazing gaming experience. Looking forward to playing some online now :)

i will second that , finished it yesterday , having switched between single and multiplayer , what an excellent adventure , absolutely loved it , multiplayer is also excellent but does seem to suffer latency issues (well i do anyway) now and again.

Ive noticed it is very difficult to shoot people, yet they run up to me a shoot me with the a pistol, and it appears to take a full magazine to kill someone using the AK, a bit frustrating really.

Good game but a bit unbalanced in multiplayer imo, or is it just the fact that I,m a low rang therefore haven't unlocked the good perks yet?

it will never take a full magazine to kill with the AK , use short conrolled bursts , the FAL is definatley the best weapon long range and the one i use most , if you find it is a game of close combat then the AK or shotgun is my weapon of choice. The latency issue (unloading a full clip into someone and them not dieing) only seem to happen when playing with the US , which i suppose is normal but is highly annoying , it is rare though.

The team balancing definately needs work , it is pure luck whether you get stuck with a load of idiots fighting seasoned players , they never seem to get split evenly according to rank , the perks i'm using at the moment are 'down the irons' and 'fleet foot' , they seem to work well :)

Having only played a dozen games or so, I cant comment too much I suppose, but it does appear to take an awefull lot more than I expected.

Maybe not a full magazine but not far off. Its possible that the few games Ive played so far have been US, in fact I know they have.

I need to give it a good few days hammer, but if its not grabbed me by then, then it never will.

One thing I like is the Co-op and the fact you can still earn money that way. At least it gives you a little break from the concentration required when in a lobby.

Agree with you the long range weapon (FAL) is a pretty decent tool in the right hands.

Finished the Story mode.

Game.Of.The.Year.

Naughty Dog have actually managed to improve on the original, & create a sequel even more stunning.

Graphics, sound, gameplay, action, puzzles, story, script, characters, voice acting... everything is bloody brilliant.

There were some points when I got rather frustrated (especially the final boss, who I hated), but even so, the game is just simply amazing.

I need to try the multiplayer now, as I've only played solo so far.

I've had it since before it came out, and I've been on the final boss for ages. I'm playing on Hard. People seem to tell me about different ledges, but they never work for me.

I'll second that Matt. Even the prescripted action parts were very enjoyable. I've not played a game with such variety in a long while.

Without spoiling anything for other in the thread I'd have to say the train part and the jeeps part were stunning and made you feel like you were really in the game. Very, Very well done to Naughty dog. They truly are the legends of PS3 for me. Cant wait for Uncharted 3 lol. I wounder what the DLC will be ? More co-op missions maybe ? I know theres some free and some paid for. Looking forward to that which is out before christmas :)

Makes it much, much easier.

I got up to him late last night, & after dying many, many times I dropped the difficulty to "Easy" & managed to kill him the standard way.

This morning, I re-loaded from before I dropped the difficulty, & killed him first time using the "ledge method" in the video.

OK, it's a bit cheeky, but he annoyed me.

It's just... awesome :)

Although some other bits frustrated me, it was generally 'cos I didn't initially notice a ledge or something I could jump to, or 'cos I didn't use cover enough in a firefight, that kind of thing. So although I died, or briefly got stuck, it tended to be my own fault & I did it eventually.

So many awesome shootouts, so many cool set-piece action sections, such stunning scenery & everything... Masterpiece :)

I also played on hard , took me forever to kill the boss , nearly threw my controller through the window at one point i was that frustrated , would have dropped the difficulty if i'd known you could ... doh :) , whats your psn id , might be able to get some multiplayer between a few of us if you fancy it ?? ( cancel that just seen it in your sig!!)

Just completed it on Hard using that method Matt posted a link to. Loved that last cut scene. Now to complete U1 on Crushing and get Platinum before I try and go Platinum on this game.

yeah , downloaded the update last night , particually happy with the penalties for quitting , too many people were leaving when they were losing, however this has not gone down at all well with the quitters , there going mad on the US forum :).

The problem with the penelties is that some people have trouble staying connected sometimes depending on their ISP connection. I've lost connection to a game 2-3 times on Uncharted 2. Should I be penalised for that ? No, I do overall think its a good idea though to stop people quitting because they are poor losers.

Played through the SP campaign again the other day. Still enjoyable for the 3rd time. Anyway anyone still enjoying the MP side of things like me there is another Premium Expansion comming next week including 2 news maps and a new game mode. Sweet :)

I think its the 3rd. I know there was the first one which was free. Then there was a premium one(Very reasonably priced) which I agree BTW was Awesome so this should be the third. Feel free to correct me if am wrong.
