Re: The Virginmedia website appears not to be working.

I can connect to everything else just not Virgin and my email is not working and neither is webmail, possibly a local issue in the Liverpool area.

I have now also tried using Minefield and Shiretoko which are variations on FF3 and the same with them now, but everything else works.

Re: The Virginmedia website appears not to be working.

I am having the same problems, not only the service page but when you try and use the 150 or 151 from your phone one just has the engaged sound and the other says not recognised.

I tried ringing the 0845 number and they have a message there saying they are experiencing technical difficulties and to call back later.

So it looks like it's a national issue.

I just wish they would put up a message on their website to let people know.

Ok smart alec!

We can get to the first part of their website, it's the service page that's the problem!

Re: The Virginmedia website appears not to be working.

It looks like a VM problem for sure.

The Virginmedia website has various links, so we don't know for sure if it's the home page or not.

I am referring to this one of which I do have access to, but can't open the service page nor emails not working either.

Can you please post a link to the other outage thread you mention, can't see it I'm afraid.

This is service status page I have been trying for ages, still no joy.

Hi guys

As you may be aware, we're having some service problems right now that
are affecting multiple services, including:

* The status page (viewing it and the ability to update it) along with
some other parts of the website such as selfcare
* Text news server
* E-mail (including Webmail) for those with blueyonder e-mail
addresses
* Webspace for those on xTW (ex-Telewest Network)
* Some broadband access problems for those in the North West (xTW
customers only)
* Some impact on TV for xTW customers

The problems are also affecting the technical support guys, who can't
currently post to newsgroups.

Our teams are working their socks off to fix these at the moment and
to restore service as quickly as possible and the good news is that
these services are now starting to come back online.

Apologies for the inconvenience this has caused.

Re: The Virginmedia website appears not to be working.

joglynne,

Much appreciated.

I have to say that in Scotland the Virgin TV service was fine, apart from around 2:30pm this afternoon the picture would go black for a few seconds, this happened 6 times at various intervals, the sound would continue as normal, so I thought perhaps this was something to do with them testing to get it all back up and running again, would that be the case do you think?

As far as my internet is concerned I am able to connect ok, but as I have a blueyonder email address this is still currently down at present, can't send any emails either.

Regards.

Re: The Virginmedia website appears not to be working.

It was a localized issue here, been out all day come back all up and running.

But I see we had a few other faults dotted around.
