Slimey is what comes to my mind whenever he gets mentioned and oh so quick to shout racism where it doesn't apply. Thats my biggest gripe with him always managing to bring race into issues and making the real problem of racism harder to sort out while people wade through what is real and what people like him say.

Re: Is Vaz in trouble again?

Yes, yes he is.

Quote:

He is one of the most influential MPs in the House of Commons and is currently overseeing the biggest shake-up of Britain’s prostitution laws in a generation.

But today the Sunday Mirror can reveal Keith Vaz, a married father of two , is leading a double life paying young male escorts for sex.

Mr Vaz last met two Eastern European prostitutes eight days ago, even though he is chair of a powerful parliamentary group probing vice and drugs.
http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news...-tells-8763805

Now him being at the airport a few years back to welcome the first migrants from Romania makes a lot more sense.

Strangely there was a large number of threads about Mr. Vaz I could have chosen from to put this in, almost as if he's got a lot of skeletons in the cupboards of his various homes.

Sorry but who cares?

Its his private life, so between him and his wife.

If it effects his work then that's different.

He is one of the most influential MPs in the House of Commons and is currently overseeing the biggest shake-up of Britain’s prostitution laws in a generation.

update it seems he is resigning from the committee
Mr Vaz, 59, who is chairman of the Home Affairs Select Committee which monitors crime and drugs policy, said he was referring the claims to his solicitor and would be seeking advice.
The Mail on Sunday says he has stepped aside as committee chairman.
In a statement Mr Vaz said: "It is deeply disturbing that a national newspaper should have paid individuals to have acted in this way.
"I have referred these allegations to my solicitor Mark Stephens of Howard Kennedy who will consider them carefully and advise me accordingly."

According to the Sunday Mirror, Mr Vaz's meeting with two male escorts included a discussion about using the party drug Poppers.
The MP for Leicester East had opposed government attempts to criminalise the drug. Ministers later announced they would remain within the law.
His committee is also currently overseeing a review of the UK's prostitution laws.

this sounds a little like putting a kid in charge of a sweet shop....

I'm sure it won't be long before he brings race into it, there have always been plenty of rumours about him in leicester from dodgy business dealings to sexual preference not sure why it's become an issue now.

Re: Is Vaz in trouble again?

I dont know about dodgy business dealings, but the only time he is on the local news is usually related to something related to racism.

Yet another pious hypocrite who lives a public life full of talk of standards, morality, blah, blah, blah and a private life which he'd be the first to condemn if it were a political opponent or some other high profile figure. A rose tinted, snout in the trough, slime ball of the first order.

The police are investigating possible drug offences following a Sunday Mirror story about the Labour MP Keith Vaz.
Mr Vaz quit as chairman of the Home Affairs Select committee in September after the paper claimed he paid for the services of two male escorts.
According to the newspaper, the MP also indicated to one of the men that he would pay for cocaine, although he said he would not use the drug himself.
Mr Vaz, 59, said he welcomed the police's investigation.
The police said they would not confirm or comment on the identity of anyone involved.

Quote from The Sun:

A sleaze probe into ex-Labour minister Keith Vaz’s rent boys shame is back on – after being suspended on medical grounds.

The Parliamentary Standards Commissioner today revealed the inquiry was live once more after the MP had been spotted opening a swimming pool, going to a music gig and attending council meetings.

Earlier this month the Labour veteran appeared alongside Bollywood actor Shatrughan Sinha at an event in London.

The MP - a diabetic - has also travelled nearly 5,000 miles to India and taken a trip to Saudi Arabia.

A source said: “The inquiry was suspended in December on the basis of an independent medical assessment. It has resumed on the same basis.”
Bet this worm tries to get out of it again.

The man is a cockroach whatever scandal hits him he gets out of it he is a perfect example of everything that's wrong with parliament at the minute and why more and more UK citizens are losing faith in politics.
