Perfect Woman

Current Affairs...Technology...Current Affairs...Technology...Current Affairs it is!

A "robot" which is being dubbed "the perfect woman" goes on sale on Wednesday. But "Lisa", who is an ace at cooking, cleaning and massages is surrounded by mystery.
/ Checks date: 1st April...nope...

Looks very fake - wonder what the deal is... probably seeing how fast a "news" story can get around the globe / web and to see who would pick it up.

Congratulations, fellow CF'ers - you've just become part of the experiment! :D

Re: Perfect Woman

it looks like an expensive waste of money.

One would think that The Perfect Woman would be found in a more human manner than in a collection of wires and fuses etc.

Just as there is no perfect man, there is no perfect woman, just someone who is perfect enough for you.

There will be fellas with big pockets and little confidence who will buy this if it is real and it is them that I feel sorry for.

The one I'm going out with? I didn't know you'd met her.

Dear oh dear...for an example of how badly this sort of thing can go wrong, watch Love Object - okay, it's a sex doll in this case, but it's interesting - the presence of newcomer Melissa Sagemiller notwithstanding. ;)

Aside from her, I said! :D

I wonder if it had anything to do with this(which I'm sure was posted some time on CF but I can't find it.)

Re: Perfect Woman

What pushes my scepticism button is that I'm sure the woman in the photo used to be in the TV adaptation of Weird Science as the created woman who curiously enough was called Lisa...

Re: Perfect Woman

Give or take a few decades I trust you really will be able to buy a variety of clones of women who've been called perfect either by tabloids or themselves--least in some dastardly country this should amount to about 70% of their GDP (trust this is grim news but the way morals and standards have been behaving, I tell you: crazier tomfoolery will be the norm). The evil-geneticists/slave drivers'll tell their customers a percentage of the profits go towards the estate of whosoever's fully grown DNA they'd bought to appease any possible guilt. These transactions will always end in homicide, and not always in the long run. Then again, that'll never happen, but it might make for a mediocre movie (especially if they have to stoop to gimmicky campaigns like this one for publicity). Though this movie is meant to be about a robotic woman supposedly perfect, so I'd keep my fingers crossed for just mediocre.

BTW there are already a fair number of perfect woman around. Good news: They're NOT for sale!

Re: Perfect Woman

Hmm! I note that they aren't offering the Perfect Man...Could this be because women instinctively know that there is no perfect man to be had...;)
