An 18-month-old girl was shot with a pellet

Don't bother banning guns, knives etc... Just ban bloody humans!
Quote:

The girl was shot in the leg while walking in a field off Derbyshire Hill Road and Fleet Lane in St Helens.

Merseyside Police said the injury to the girl at about 1100 BST on Sunday could have been much more serious.

What the hell?! Why would someone do that? It's now starting to become a bit OTT with these shootings / stabbings. The standards of UK citizens is starting to go down hill. We complain about immigrants? These should get deported first!

What do you expect? We live in lawless Britain where there is precious little enforcement, the general public sit squinting from behind their net curtains and do nothing and the courts and Government do not impose proper penalties because it costs too much.

Summertime in Britain, what a joy...the music blares out late into the night as chavs have their barbies and get drunk out of their skulls, louts roam the streets and get drunk in our parks and others look for other amusements such as shooting people with air rifles and perhaps the odd stabbing or streetfight.
There is no Euro football to aneasthetise them this year. Usually the lantern jawed yobs would be safely in the pubs chanting Engerrlland, ~Engerrrlland,, Englerland...

Can't do that. We are already locking up and 'demonising' too many children.
Of course they are all just angels and the big bad criminal justice system goes out and plucks them from the street when they aren't doing anything wrong.

Thats the point Nidge, these morons don't think, if they are happy and enjoying themselves then the rest of us can go hang.

I'm not saying it isn't the case, but so far, there is nothing to indicate this was intentional is there?

Someone fired an airgun in a public place. That much is clear.

boroboi 09-06-2008 14:46

Re: An 18-month-old girl was shot with a pellet

No, it cant be intentional... a tiny pellet just happened to be fired into a baby girls leg... yeah, happens alot that... :| give me a break.

How do you accidently fire a pellet into a baby's leg, you can hardly do it by accident

I suspect someone thought they were shooting the dog...

Police say the toddler had followed the dog into some bushes before emerging "visibly upset" with the injury.
No less sick of course.:(

I agree, But what will it take to pull open the curtains and start to say NO MORE! ?. People need to unite against the villians that are turning this country into a hell hole. And yet the biggest crime is to sit back, do nothing, and let it happen.

Agreed but we've seen what has happend to people who have stood up. They end up in hospital or Dead ! Its all good and well saying people need to stand up and say NO MORE! but unless we all do it together then we have seen the outcome to many times in the news.

Unless they do it wearing stab-proof vests, carrying tasers and/or MACE sprays. I'm surprised it hasn't occurred to anyone before now. I won't be surprised if it does, because the UK does still have a few people with the courage to stand up to these yobs and give 'em what for - and of course the bleeding-heart wishy-washy liberals who created this whole bloody mess in the first place will be bleating, "Oh, dear, people are taking the law into their own hands, whatever shall we do?"

Dammit, this sort of thing did not happen when I was a kid! And that doesn't mean it simply didn't get reported - it didn't happen. End of. Kids didn't fight each other with knives - or if they did, they were penknives at worst, not kitchen knives or, worse, the sort you might expect an SAS trooper to carry.

Re: An 18-month-old girl was shot with a pellet

I visited my son, in hospital today. He has 3 breaks to his jaw. Beaten by 7 idiots who had nothing better to do. Whilst there, I spoke to:

1 lad with shotgun wounds to his face.
2 lads with stab wounds.
1 lad with a fractured jaw.

I didn't want to speak to anyone else, I was totally Pi**ed off. While I was there, a policeman was admitted with gunshot wounds.

This is lawless Britain. A country I was once proud to serve, but am now ashamed to talk about.

The justice system continually fails to uphold our laws. Our policemen are scared to venture out alone. Our judges are too lenient, & the criminals human rights come before the victims.

I could go on, but we've all heard it before, & far too often.

Couldnt agree more. I think your've hit the nail on the head. Something has to be done to stop the protection of the thugs/criminals rather than the true victims of these cowardly crimes.

Manchester. The young man with the shotgun wound was shot whilst trying to stop 4 girls fighting. The left side of his face took a partial blast. Left ear, eye, cheek, mouth, also his left arm. Apparently the shotgun was defective & discharged the shot incorrectly. Probably saved his life, but left him with horrific injuries. He had been in & out of hospital for 6 months. His latest visit was for work on his ear canal reconstruction.

The stabbings were attacks by a gang of yobs, in both cases.

The fractured jaw was from a hooded jogger who simply smacked the lad whilst running past.

My lad & his mates went for something to eat & were attacked. It seems to have been a random "setup", this happened in Milnrow, apparently not for the first time. Gangs of yobs cruise around, select their targets, then jump them.

Mindless. Totally mindless.

In fairness, while these people clearly shouldn't be shooting airgun pellets in public, there is nothing in the article to suggest that they were aiming for the girl or dog, and nothing to suggest they were aiming for anything.

It's interesting (and slightly worrying) how we seem to treat children. On the one hand, we seem to demonise them (and *some* of them do deserve it), but on the other, we seem to mollycoddle them. Take my neighbours kids. They aren't, at heart, bad kids. I'll admit, they *are* annoying though. The problem is that although we have a nice park about 300 metres away, their mum will not let them go there, or take them there as she is apparently scared. The park is safe (no crime there AFAIK in the last 20 years), but the kids usually end up playing cricket in our road, with proper cricket balls.. A few windows have been smashed, and as our road is fairly busy, the kids have nearly been run over a few times.

I have digressed slightly, but my point is that we don't seem to be able to find a balance between mollycoddling and demonising the kids..

Too close to my neck of the woods that.
I hope they catch the people that did it...

We`ve got some lads around here that`re probably 15 or 16 and think they`re all hard nuts.
If one of them ever touches or antagonises a member of my family, i`ll put them in hospital and deal with it later;) You walk the walk and talk the talk then you`re obviously able to deal with the consequenses. They would`nt do it again though.
I have a right to protect my family and my property, thats my basic human right.:tu:
