simple speed test

Mon, 5 May 2008 10:03:36 UTC

Test 1: 1024K took 13531 ms = 75.7 KB/sec, approx 624 Kbps, 0.61 Mbps
Test 2: 1024K took 25781 ms = 39.7 KB/sec, approx 327 Kbps, 0.32 Mbps
Test 3: 1024K took 24532 ms = 41.7 KB/sec, approx 344 Kbps, 0.34 Mbps
Test 4: 2048K took 34703 ms = 59 KB/sec, approx 486 Kbps, 0.47 Mbps

Overall Average Speed = approx 445 Kbps, 0.44 Mbps

what speeds should i be getting on 10mb?

At this time of day, a lot better than that!
I suspect that you have a problem (Houston!).

Recommend you contact Tech Support via VM's dedicated newsgroup and ask them to check your connection.

Need help getting onto VM's Tech Support newsgroup?

Re: anybody in belfast area get it yet ?

Although my modem appears to have downloaded the 10mb config file, I'm not getting speeds above 4mb. I've been on to tech support and customer services a number of time and still no luck solving the problem. I've a good mind to cancel my broadband.

Tech support say contact customer services and CS say contact tech support which is very annoying. I was meant to have the problem sorted a few weeks ago but still nothing.
