Anyone get proposed to yesterday?
 

Feb 29th is the date when the ladies get their chance to propose and if the chap turns them down he has to buy the lady a silk dress apparently.

Anyone else get asked the question?

I tried the shackles on a few years ago, then got instantly fat, and now I can't get them off!!!

I hope my missus doesn't lurk on here!

I have been 30 years, and the funniest thing was, at 8-30 l was driving along the 312 up to the M4, when my mobile rung, and on the handsfree, l spoke and it was my wife, who said that magic word, do you know what l said, ' hang on, l am going round a roundabout, l will call you in a minute' about an hour later, l realised what l had said, phone her, to say yes, and she replied ' too late' you put a roundabout before me.

We are still married, and yes 30 years,

I didn't have to buy a dress. :) No idea who else has saved money.

Arthur, great story, and I am extremely pleased you are still married after 30 years.

However.........................
Thirty years ago was 1977.
The first mobile phone licence in the UK was granted in 1983.
I had a car phone in 1987 (Motorola) and it didn't have hands free (it actually had a curly cord :D ).

Was there an earlier type of mobile phone (I am actually interested, because I remember CBs being a fad in the 70s/80s).
