Did you see her rant on GMTV then?

I'd say she's mad but then again she did say she's leaving because she thinks the UK don't like her, so she's not 'that' mad.

IMO she should get next to sod all.

Paul McCartney, I'm fairly sure, was worth £800m before they got together.

All she has brought to the party is a child, and I'm sure that it wont' cost £60m to bring up a child.

Also McCartney will have joint custoday probably and will also pay towards the childs upbringing.

So will someone tell me why on earth she should be entitled, or why she thinks she should be entitled to £60m???

Probably because she is a totally deranged nutty ********* of a woman. It really peeves me off that she feels she can expect 60 million quid or more. I am sure Paul Marcartney would have everything in place to ensure that their daughter is well taken care of now and in the future, I dont see any reason why this mranting loon should get what shes asking for.

But it's always been in favor of the woman when it comes to divorce. :(

Mind you, I think it was strange he didn't draw up somekind of prenup agreement in the first place.

Not a bad payout for a few years work huh? She also say she doesn't care that everyone hates her, when obviously she does or she wouldn't be leaving! It's not fair to take their child so far away from the father either.

I can understand when a woman can say that by staying home she gave her hubby the opportunity to build up a business/empire and therefore contributed to that and as a result is entitled to a fair wack.

But I don't think this was ever the case here. Seeing her on GMTV and also hearing her on Nick Ferrari's LBC radio show confirmed what a nutter she is in my opinion. The papers (well the Sun) did do a job on old Mucca, but as far as I'm concerned she deserved a lot of the bad press they gave her.

Maybe thats just celebs as it certainly isn't true in real life. OK, my situation was a bit different (about 800 million!), but when my ex and I split up and he earned twice as much as me, i was told to repay half our debts! Not only did this peeve me off, but some of the debt had been taken out without me knowing. So i told the ex either pay more than half (like 3/4) or i'd inform the police on how he used my information to gain credit without me knowing :D

A woman scorned and all that...... :p:

Sadly, I will not miss her. She gained fame as Mrs Paul McCartney, which is exactly what she wanted.

That GMTV rant will go down in history, and the nutter tag will stick to her. Queue "Gold-digger" by Kanye West. :)

Will we miss her? somehow I don't think we will get the chance as she will no doubt take any and every oppurtunity to whine and moan to anyone that will listen. Even if it is agreed that neither side talk to the press I am sure that somehow there will be rubbish "leaked" by a "close friend" or "insider". Might as well face it, we're no closer to getting shot of this gold digging trout than we were 12 months ago.

Miss her er no i am pretty sure the UK doesn't have a shortage of deranged gold diggers. What i would like to know is why the hell this banshee is entitled to 60mil now thats totally beyond me as far as i am concerned any money he had before metting her should be exempt. She should only get a share of money he has made since marrying her. Anyway any good news like what flight she is on ??.

He may be gullible but remember heather mills latched on to him while he was still grieving for his wife dying so bear that in mind. As for the money it may be peanuts to him but why should someone that is now in hindsight such a thoroughly repugnant person get their hands on it. She should get a percentage of the money he made while they were married and nothing more whatever he had before her should not be in the equation as far as i am concerned.

Ask him to put his hands on £2million in cash and he'll struggle, he may be worth £900million but that will be in property and other businesses, he's not got £900million in the bank.

Re: Will you miss her?

I always remember when she first got married to Sir Paul. Channel 4 showed a documentary that showed a less than favourable picture of her (it showed her to be a money grabber). IIRC, She sued them. Now, however, it seems they have been proved right.

As for fading into obscurity, she can do that easily enough. Stop courting the media.

So, while she got a lot less than she intended, what do you guys think would be an adequate payoff? Not specifically for Heather Mills, but generally.

I personally think that the parent who gets custody should get enough money that the children can live comfortably. They should also be offered a fair payout for any property/businesses or joint projects they were involved in (so, if a husband and wife set up a company that makes massive profits, then they split, one partner should give a fair payout to the other).

If the parent without custody wants to offer more, they should be able to, but it should not be expected.

Sorry if all this seems a little harsh, but I don't see why one parent should automatically be entitled to a percentage of what the other owned before they were married.

Also (although this doesn't apply in the McCartney/Mills case as Paul is hardly on his uppers even after the settlement), people should remember that if they get too much money from their estranged partner, that partner may not have enough money to support any future families he/she might have. A friend of mine earns a very nice wage, as does her fiance, but they pay so much in child support for his child that they have to cut a lot of corners.

She shouldn't be allowed one penny of Macca's money, she didn't contribute to the millions he amassed through his Beatles days, his solo days, and his late wifes cookery. Mills is just a money grabbing whore.

Macca should contribute to his young childs up bringing which he's not backing away from but 20 odd million quid for a few years marriage is not bad going. The first thing she'll do is write a book telling all the world how cruel Macca was to her, I hope she rots in hell because she gives decent women a bad name.

In my own, roundabout way, that's exactly what I was saying. She shouldn't be entitled to any more money that she has either helped Sir Paul earn (so nothing there then) or that required to give their child a good standard of living.

And part of that in this case is providing the childs mother suitable accomodation to live in.
She is probably gagged from writing that book and the revenue that will have generated, part of this settlement is the cost of that gag.
From the predictions of 80M this is a fairly low settlement and lower than Charmans so does in the light of things seem reasonable.
I don't think Macca wants his kid growing up in a Semi in Surbiton and 2.4m does not buy much inside the circle line, then there are those pesky council taxes and running costs of a property suitable for a beatles daughter.
Unless she plans to give up custody leaving the country will be more of a challenge than she thinks.
The complaints about 35k a year for the daughter, gimmie a break, that is what he is compelled to pay to her, not what he will be spending on her.

If you want someone to complain about try this case.

She should have got a single figure percentage of what he has earnt since they got together excluding interest on monies earnt prior to the relationship. Another side of me thinks maybe she should get a walloping payout not because she deserves it but because he was so stupid in marrying her in the first place. I know he was still grieving for linda and all that but everyone else saw her for what she was so i can't believe he was totally ignorant of the possibility and therefore shoulld have protected himself better. Easy to slag her off but she has only done the modern british trick of taking whatever for all you can get.

The thing that was most distasteful to me was her whinging on that he only has to pay £35k to her daughter every year (After school fees and nanny fees of course) and the way that McCartney can obviously travel first class, but his daughter will obviously have to travel 2nd class, but she'll pay for the difference. How many decent families in this country struggle on a lot less than £35k. The woman is a gold-digging media-whore, plain and simple and left reality many years ago. To complain that the press ruins her life and then conduct a half hour press conference after the court hearing is incredible. No impromptu press conferences for PM. He got in his car, waved through the window and went home.

Hope his lawyer sues her for the cup of water incident. I reckon an assault like that with the added danger of drowning is worth at least £25 million!!
