How Big is Your PC Monitor?

I was just going to have subject of "How Big is Yours" :p: But thought we may get too many Off Topic posts :D

I have a 19" 4:3 Dell TFT. I am however interested in getting a 32" - 42" LCD & using it as a Main PC Monitor. Anyone else have this sort of setup? Would you recomend me doing this or what have you found out?

Please post pics if you have 28" + screens

I use a lcd tv and it's 32inches.

It's ok, but you should check the resolution you're going to use it at.

Mine is usually used at 1280x720 But I need a large fomt etc, for obvious reasons.

Seeing as you've got good eyesight, I'm wondering if you do go down that route if you should get a 1080p TV which will probably suit you quite well.

My Dell says in Screen Size it can do upto 1280 x 1024 (but on my 19" I use 1024 x 768)

I would be looking at a 32" -> 42" HDTV 1080p & DVDHD Player :)

i used a 29.5" monitor for a month.

i learnt size does not matter :)

At work? Two x 17 inch LCDs, both running at 1280*1024.

At home? One 22inch LCD running at 1650x1080.

OLd PC - 17" LCD at 1280x1024.

Now - 19" LCD at 1280x1024 and a TV of roughly 16" at 1024x768 :)

It would probably look distorted as that's not a widescreen resolution (which is why I use 1280x720).

I've seen Dilli's monitor in person, in action. Vista is very clear, sharp and smooth. In-game graphics also look good. :tu:

But why waste the acreage when 99% of 19" monitors can do 1280x1024? Or even more? My last CRT before this 19" Widescreen Iiyama was a 17" Iiyama and I ran that at 1280x1024! :)

It should be fine, Are you going to use the vga connection or a dvi - hdmi cable?

Either should suffice, but you should get a bit btter picrure with the dvi hdmi cable.

JediMaster 22-01-2008 17:20

Re: How Big is Your PC Monitor?

My Dell has 1x DVI (my 19" only has VGA) but Dell sent a DVI 2 VGA for me in the box. I would use DVI - HDMI for TV

15" Philips LCD as the main one running 1280x1024 (native resolution) on a VGA connection. (god i need a new pc)

For downloaded videos and when I want to relax I also have my Samsung 32" HDTV running 1360x768 (native resolution) on a DVI-HDMI connection

At work we have LG 15" LCD PC monitors that can do 1280x1024. What options do they give us? 800x600 or 1024x768. Nice - Not
