Re: lying on track as train hurtles overhead
Is it wrong of me to think "go on sneeze" as the train went over?
Mate of mine used to work on the railways, so did my uncle. They'd find severed body parts quite often. Absolute idiots. Just think what must be going through the mind of the train driver! |
Re: lying on track as train hurtles overhead
Alls it would of taken was say a metal bar coming unlocked underneath the train.
He would of been a gonna :( Extremely stupid why bother? Probably has mental issues? |
Re: lying on track as train hurtles overhead
Properly a thrill seeker, trying to find a extreme edge. His heart much have been going crazy.

Re: lying on track as train hurtles overhead
A mate of mine while I was still at school got hit by a train, the mess was spread between sandy and biggleswade. The though of someone doing this kind of thing just makes me sick, as far as I'm concerned this person needs psychiatric treatment urgently.

Re: lying on track as train hurtles overhead
I doubt these people who do this have any idea how at risk they are and how they could easily die.
They see this only as entertaintment and outdoing eachother and that is very sad that people have got to be like this. |

The video on YouTube is thought to be part of a sick twist on "chicken", in which teenagers are now seeking to outdo each other with their daredevil stunts. Internet sites have been flooded with footage of dangerous games which see youngsters vying with each other by risking their lives. |
Re: lying on track as train hurtles overhead
They would only do it once in my area, it is an old third live rail system. Touch the rail and "blackpool illuminations"

Same here to mate, all the driver would have seen was the body on the track, for all the driver knew it could have been a suicide attempt. I've seen programmes where the drivers have had to go off work on sick leave due to the stress caused by fruit loops doing stunts like this. |

Fun reading the comments on that clip: "The potential for injury to innocent passengers had the driver slammed on the brakes was immense." No it wasn't. "Let me guess, if a train driver screeches to a halt and hits one of these fools, resulting in multiple deaths, what will the courts do? Oh yes, a three week supervision order and a slap on the hand. Our country is falling apart by the actions of low-intelligence idiots like this." Trains don't screech to a halt and it was apparently in Poland* (it's certainly not a British train) so ask them. You do get a particular class of moron in Daily Mail comment columns. * Looks like one of these - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PKP_class_SU45 - so I'd say Poland was a safe bet. |

Re: lying on track as train hurtles overhead
This is an evergrowing problem with kids of today, you have 'chicken' where they run in front of the train, l have a very good mate who works on SW Trains, and in the first week, he had three A********, do it, and they think it is funny, l live very near THREE SW train stations, and it is notorious, can someone explain too me, why the hell they do it, it must be for the adrenalin rush, seeing the train go over you, but to me they are bloody stupid and have no feeling for the driver, whatsoever.
