And what do you think of the amount of game you get for your £29? I've paid my money and am just waiting for it to download now, I've loved every one of the Half Life adventures so far so Episode 2 was a must have.

Portal looks like great fun as does TF2 and Peggle Extreme is a laugh (and was the first to download giving me something to play while the rest downloads ;))

I think you are talking about the PC version but I will be getting it on the xbox 360. I did have Halflife 2 on PC but have just switched to an iMac so have to get it on the 360 now.

ME :) Loved all the HL games and EP2 was also a must for me. Portal looks brilliant and TF2 is great if the beta is anything to go by. I beleive the orange box is unlocked 2nite at 12PST though so guess we have to wait till 2morrow.

Oh and I think the price was spot on TBH, I pre-ordered so got it for £26-£27 I cant remember fuly. Good idea to be able to give HL2 and EP1 free to sum1 if you already own both as I do.

I am pre-loaded and Ready to roll :)

I've got Half-Life 2 & Episode 1 on PC.

So I was originally thinking of just getting Episode 2 off Steam.


Although I am now tempted to get the Orange Box for the 360.

I don't mind using a controller rather than mouse & keyboard.


Plus my 360 is hooked up to my HDTV & my 5.1 system, whereas my PC has two crap speakers & a small TFT.

Just launched my steam to find the games are avalible ! ! ! I had no idea it said 12PST october the 10th but we either have gotten it early or they meant 12 lastnight. Decrypting files now :) :) Cant wait to check this out.

I know PST is 8 hours behind thats why when it launches at 12PST it would be 8 AM here on GMT. Or am I getting something wrong here ? am sure 12PST midnight is 8AM GMT.

Well, if it means 12 midnight on the 10th October then that would be last night. Hence why it's out now, as it would've been this morning over here.

Portal is really good, I'm up to Level 17 and it's kinda starting to get difficult, very taxing on the brain!

lol yes I really am pants at Halo3. I used to play TFC all the time on the PC and got pretty good at it so I reckon playing TF2 with the 360 controller and discovering I am really poor at it because my hands and brain cannot function with it would be a frustrating experience to say the least.

Completed both Episode 2 and portal yesterday/today ;)

Was up untill 2 am trying to do the last level on portal :blush: its a bit longer than one first expects.

Also Complete both EP and Portal. Portal was brilliant and the comments that the computer keeps making through it had me laughing many times. Hl ep2 was also awesome but I wont give anything away. Well worth £26 for all these great games together.

Also I now have HL2 and HL2 EP1 as gifts on steam so if any1 would like these games just let me know cause I can give them away. :)

Are you asking when its out in shops ? If so it should be out now but only avalible in the orange box.

You can give HL2 and Ep1 away as a gift (I suppose you could ask money if you were a tightarse ;)) - for £25 tho for what you get it's excellent - I've completed the main body of Portal and started on Ep2 :)

I was waiting for EP2 for a long time to and then found out about a month ago it basically been scrapped for now.

The company Ritual who made sin have decided to put all there effort into similar games to the popcap series. I was very sad to find this out and that they are not working on sin anymore or in the near future.

So no Sin Ep2 for us :( I really enjoyed it to and was looking forward to the next installment.

I cant see anywere to change your country either. I had a look at there support page but it didnt really help. Try contacting them through there support system and see if they can help. Only other way is to buy a hard copy from the shops.

I loved that song at the end lol so funny.

the hard copy PC version isnt in the shops now though is it?

i thought its not due until 18th oct, and even then, i dont seem to be able to get a commitment they (several retail shops around here)will stock it on that day.

I wouldn't buy a hard-copy unless your prepared to make a new steam account if neccecery...

Reason I say is It wouldn't surprise me if you bought a hard copy installed it popped your key into steam only to be told "this is not available in your country"

Yep its not out yet. Was just a surgestion for when it is. Like dragon say's though you dont want to get that pop-up so I would surgest contacting there support team am sure they will be able to help you out.

Anyone got the box version? What's the deal, can it be installed off-line or do you have to install with a www connection and then play in off-line mode. Or is all that just related to the steam version?

If its anything like the HL2 boxed copy the files are installed encrypted stream then goes online and authenticates it and only then does it decyrpt the files...

Not sure about the console versions though....... maybe a thought if you happen to have a 360 (don't bother with the PS3 version i hear its rubbish, they outsourced its creation to EA who did a very poor job of porting it, lots of slowdowns by all accounts).
