Free V+ box

Now would'nt it be a refreshing idea for Virgin media to tell all the ars@@ that are blocking the switch boards for the last two weeks "threatening to cancel" to bugg@@ off then and give us loyal nice quite types "free V+ boxes and great deals" as a reward for our loyalty and keeping quite through what honestly must be a knightmare time for Virgin ...
can you imagine what it would be like if we all threw our dummies out of the pram at the same time !!!

Heres hoping
Gaz:(

If it wasn't for the installation cost of £75 i think i might go for it.

If they were to discount installation I think that people would go for it!

Let's think... 10% discount per year of being a customer... That sounds good! ;)

So then as a customer since March 1990 I'm due a refund of 70%, what I'd like to see is a discount of the MONTHLY bill for every 5 years with them.

Well, i phoned up yesterday and talked to a man who knocked £20 off my bill for the next 6 months. He said he couldn't give me the V+ box though and that i would have to phone back up and ask about that. The only reason i've not phoned back up is that i thought it would cost me £75 to get it installed.
I will try phoning today though and see what they can do.
Thanks for the info.

This site only fuels the 'complain until you get something free' mentality.. I think is a joke. People have no intention of actually canx hey just want a few quid off... THEN they have the nere to complian about how long its taking to get through. Then when the company is giving so much away in 'deals' revenue is reduced by Billions people complian when the network cant be upgraded or they cant have a fault tech out as quickly as they would like.

If nobody was getting the free stuff then ok, but i'm not going to pay the full price when others aren't. All i did was phone up and ask nicely if i had any chance of getting a sweetener.

I get my V+ box on the 10th + box putting in upstairs. No charge for installation for me, and I double checked to make sure there was no charge;)

Phoned today and having a V+ box installed at no further cost and they will remove the old STB. Very good service and bending over backwards to give me a good deal

If you have V+ but also keep your existing STB, & pay for the VM "multiroom" type service, then V+ installation is free rather than £75.

I didn't phone and moan. I phoned because virgin wouldn't know i wanted the V+ box if i hadn't have phoned and i didn't moan because the virgin media people are good enough to chat to without me moaning. BTW i wasn't waiting in a cue ages to get through either. I was talking to the man at virgin within a few minutes.

Oh and i was told i had to wait until 3rd April to get my V+ box because lots of people have also opted to move up to the V+ box. I was happy enough with what the man from virgin was telling me and i even asked him to put me through to the virgin mobile call center so that i could get myself a new sim card.

I Didn't moan I just talked nicely to the nice man :)

I phoned again today to rectify a small issue (other half didn't like my last deal!)

I was paying £63 for the following...

Large BB
XL TV
Telephone (Line only)

I will now be paying £45 for
Large BB
XL TV
V+
Telephone (Talk Weekends)

Chuffed to bits!

Install is on the 4th of April.

As to why I posted this here in this forum...
I have got a Free V+ box :)

And the install was waived (He was from the AA I think !(He was a very very nice man!))
