Time changing on V+ By Itself

I was watching an 'on demand' programme tonight (you can get them if you keep trying) when I noticed that the recording light had gone out ten minutes before the end of a programme I was recording, and while checking in my recordings list I noticed that the clock was reading ten minutes fast. It righted itself after a while so I went back to VOD and it went fast again.Stopped VOD and the clock righted itself. Is the problem connected to VOD while recording? anyone had similar problems?

Update on this problem is that they had never seen this problem before, they sent an engineer round Wednesday and he was confused by it until i actually showed him first hand what was going wrong. He basically said he couldnt fix it there and then because they had never ever seen it :)

I got a call from faults this morning and the guy said exactly the same thing that they had never heard or seen it before but he has passed it onto another section so they can have a look at it. So watch this space basically

this bug is specifically connected to VOD

Another update and my V+ does not go just 12 minutes forward now it goes a whole 1 hour 12 minutes forward :p:

Whether that is because the clocks went forward on sunday or whether that is them fiddling about trying to fix it their i dont know

Don't use VOD whilst recording... thats the best idea until this is fixed.

Rang them up again today because they said to if the problem is still there and the lady who i spoke to said she is sending an engineer round tomorrow and to say to him replace the box and see if thats sorts it

Re: Time changing on V+ By Itself

*sigh*

Don't these people have a list of 'current know faults'? This is a problem with V+ in x-ntl areas and no amount of box swapping will fix it.

Re: Time changing on V+ By Itself

Right well the engineer came this morning and lets just say he was not exactly the nicest of blokes but in his defence i suppose he did look stressed and he was already late for a job and still had 2 more to do this morning

He replaced the V+ box but he said that tuner C was not as stronger signal as the other 2 so that "might" be the problem, but i cant check the problem yet because i cant access on demand yet it just says please wait and then freezes

A 3rd box installed today tried the time issue and bingo it does not go 12 mins forward or 1 hour 12 mins forward :D

It should have been fixed at the weekend. Is it still happening?

Funny you should say that - I watched Shameless last night and the clock was bang on as soon as the program finished. I'll check some more tonight...
