strange goings on outside at virgin box
 

It maybe nothing but I have an unmarked van with 2 men in orange fluecent tops working on the green box.

It maybe they are virgin media employees and the vans have yet to be painted virgin media but has anybody else seen this before.

Just never seen it before. Always had a van with NTL on it and wondered have the vans been repainted with Virgin media yet.

I wonder actually how much the rebranding costing. Vans, overhauls, paper it must cost a quite bit to rebrand.

Nope, not yet. I had an engineer out on Monday to look at my phone fault and you could clearly see the van had been de-logo'd, just plain white.

I drive past a virgin media building on my way to work every morning, and their vans recently have had the logo stickers removed, theyve also been wearing orange reflective jackets instead of the usual yellow. So yeah, its just de-logoing and nothing to worry about.

i have a white unmarked van, and i wear an orange high viz jacket and i am not a subb contractor and i do work for VM, by june all vans will be logo'd, dont worry dude, they are official :D

I was six floors up there was a cop car parked behind. Some sort of sting we get on motorist here. So I would have been safe.

Well I am still here and up running so like someone said it would have been VM employers.

Thing is was the time they spent usually five minute shifty and woosh gone.

These was working on it for over 2 hours. Does anybody know what is being updated.

Could be anything i would guess....

I dont know whats in those boxes, but they could of been doing anything from just tidying it up to installing new lines.

I would guess that all the VM guys have some form of VM ID cards which could be shown if challenged.

the boxes are like switchboards which combine each house's individual cable into the streets main cable.

they could be doing something with the update of the new look of the home screen etc on the digi boxes.


in the telewest instruction book i got about 3 years ago it said that all their employees and contracters will have a telewest (virgin) ID card that you can see on request and if they dont and say they are from telewest (virgin) then you should phone them and report.

I would take a guess at them being network Tech's doing maintenance on the cab. We don't have logo'd vans yet and haven't for a while. They'll soon be logo'd in the next couple of months.

i work for virgin meadia and i av new logo on my van and for the men in yellow jackets they will b subbys like me which cud b doin work in the dp or cud of been service techs upgradin

I was going to say...if you have a subcontractor send him my way....my cable cabinet has been damaged for the past six weeks, but seeing that guy's spelling somehow I don't think I want him fiddling with my cables....
