Channel four tunes into Emap channels

Channel 4 bosses are close to taking control of a clutch of music TV stations owned by struggling Grazia and FHM publisher Emap.

The deal, believed to be worth around £80m, would mark a major expansion for C4, making it the main competitor to MTV in the UK. It is expected to be announced in the next few weeks.

Music tv channels are worth money??

On who's planet?

I enjoy many (not all though) of the music channels - if C4 think they're worth paying, then they will pay it. If you can't say anything constructive and just sprout out dross, then I'd suggest you don't post - both of you.

One major difference between Channel 4 and MTV. Channel 4 plays music from time to time..

I have the right to an opinion, and a right to express it. "dross" is only your opinion, and as to not posting, I don't take orders, sonny.

Don't get your back up, I made a perfectly valid point. Oh and don't go calling me sonny please, I don't like it.

Nah..

Its the same as someone calling me 'pal' or 'mate' - I find that quite insulting.

You could call me sir actually, that would be a nice power-trip! ;)

Anyway, back OT - £80m may seem rather a lot to pay for a few music channels, but with £1 a time to call up and select your video (which I would never do) I bet they make a tidy couple of quid...

Guys, can we at least try and talk about Channel 4, music or EMAP?

Already brought it back on topic, lol! Does anyone know what channels EMAP own at present anyway?
