Jericho
Saw a trailer for this, coming to the Hallmark channel.
Looks good. Just wikipedia'd it, about the aftermath of a nuclear attack on the USA, looks to be a bit ofa Lost clone - which is no bad thing. |
Re: Jericho
Looks good - Friday 12th Jan, then one on Sunday, then back to Friday 19th.

Re: Jericho
I have seen a few of these and I found it very good indeed :)
|
Re: Jericho
Yes indeed, I've watched the first half of the season and it's quite good - it's not a 'Lost' clone though, totally different.
|
Re: Jericho
Oh this is a threads meets dawson's creek sort of a show :)
|
Re: Jericho
Watched tonight's repeat of the first ep.
Quite good. Definitely got potential. |
Re: Jericho
I gave up, the amount of adverts made the whole thing unwatcheable :(
|
Re: Jericho
Yeah, the ad breaks were pretty bloody annoying.
I think I may watch it the same way as Dilli & Paul.....no adverts then... It's currently on hiatus in the US, after an 11 episode run. The second half of season 1 starts in the US on Feb 21st with episode 12. |
Re: Jericho
Yes, I was impressed. I've "series linked" on the sky box. Watch it on play back and skip through the ads.
|
Re: Jericho
Snap, heard about this on the radio, Sky+'d it and watched it the other night (ads? What ads :D)
Quite good so far. |
Re: Jericho
For any ex-sigs (or radio hams) out there, a little geek fact.
The first Jericho episode had "j e r i c h o p i l o t" in morse code played over the intro, when the word Jericho came up. Had to rewind a couple of times to check, as it has been a long time since I heard morse. |
Re: Jericho
Last episode was good, kept me and the missus on the edge of our seats from begining to end :)
|
Re: Jericho
Yep, good one last night :)
|
Re: Jericho
I liked how rather than showing every city that had been hit, which really we don't need to know, they just showed him picking up pin after pin, giving you the idea of just how many cities were now gone.
|
Re: Jericho
Yep, quite good that final scene.
Wonder who that guy is.... he obviously knows more about the situation than he's letting on.... involved with the people behind it, or perhaps some sort of Govt guy, Fed, CIA, or something???... |
Re: Jericho
He said in ep one that he was an ex police officer from somewhere like New Orleans, but he's just a tad clued up for that cover story :erm:
|

If you were in that situation, small town, but involved in the CIA/FBI etc, I wouldn't want people to know too much, incase I was ever hung out to dry by them to the people who committed the attacks. |
Re: Jericho
I think he's definitely secret service of some type, and that he was tipped off that something was going to happen and so he moved his family to somewhere they'd be safe.
|
Re: Jericho
In yesterday's episode, the morse code that played over the "Jericho" in the opening titles was "he knows rob" - and lo and behold, he did.
So he and others knew something was going to happen, and planned an escape. |

Re: Jericho
Indeed.
He & his associates obviously knew that something was going to happen, & planned accordingly. But did they know due to being involved, or due to being with the government? And which side is the traitor a traitor to....... Anyway. Really liking this so far. Not up there with BSG or Prison Break, IMO, but I'm enjoying it more than I have been Lost. ---------- Post added at 02:07 ---------- Previous post was at 02:06 ---------- Oh, & what was in that drum/barrel he concreted up in his basement last week?.............. |
Re: Jericho
This starts up again in the US next week and I've just watched a preview - looking better than ever. :)

Good one tonight.
Slowly finding out more about Jake's background, plus more good bits with Hawkins. Quote:

Re: Jericho
Episode 12 gives the background to his involvement with the bombs.

I think we know a bit more about Hawkins now. Glad Dale finally had enough and left the store. |

And re the "drum" above, didn't he wall a drum up in his cellar? |

I dont know why, but i suspect the woman who can to collect Tax from farmer boy is involved too... Government is still Government after all. |
Re: Jericho
Forgot about this thread.
Anyway. Still watching Jericho. Great show, makes a change from 24 & Lost. The Hallmark channel has currently stopped after episode 11 (the same place that it went on hiatus in the US from November to February), & I think it's back on in May, for eps 12-22 (second half of the season). I think I may watch it via other means, rather than wait for Hallmark to start up again. |
Re: Jericho
It gets better in the second half as well. :)

Re: Jericho
Anyone know when this is due back on our screens?
|
Re: Jericho
|
Re: Jericho
it (like many shows) suffer from having a plot that involves lots of stuff and not having the huge budget to do it properly.
|
Re: Jericho
They seem to be doing a pretty good job to me, I'm quite enjoying it.
|
Re: Jericho
It's a top show, can't wait to watch the next episode :)
|
Re: Jericho
Same here. I think it's great. Enjoy it much more than 24 & Lost.
|
Re: Jericho
That was a cool one, showing what went on before the bombs exploded.
A bit more about Hawkins' past and involvment with them, and what was the incident in Iraq that Jake mentioned? How will Hawkins' gf react when she meets him again? |
Re: Jericho
Oh well enjoy it while it lasts, it's been canned in the US so won't get a 2nd season :(

Re: Jericho

Various sources, one from a CBS worker on a well known forum, dunno if im allowed to say which one :P |
Re: Jericho
Jericho has been cancelled, if you want to help bring it back, the yanks are going crazy and fighting for a second season: join them! go to

Well I hope the rumours are true! :) Quote:
Petition signed :) |
Re: Jericho
Hmm, that's a real shame, Jericho was good and ended on a great cliff hanger.
Still, I'm pleased to see 'The Unit' returning, as well as 'How I Met Your Mother' (and 'Bones' and 'Supernatural' are getting third seasons as well). |
Re: Jericho
I've just watched all 22 Episodes on t'internet, and, what can I say? What a fantastic series, it's surely suicide by CBS not to support a second series... idiots :(
|
Re: Jericho
There's a big fight on apparently to keep the show... The fans just sent 19,000 pounds of nuts to the CBS headquaters..

Re: Jericho
Hurray for the peanuts!
|
Re: Jericho
Excellent! :)
|
Re: Jericho
Woohoo!
|
Re: Jericho
Super news.
|
Re: Jericho
Let's just hope that when it gets to the UK this time, it's not buried on a channel that spends more time on adverts than showing the actual programme - er and that it don't get snapped up by Sky so many can't see it :(

So glad they are making a second season, i love this show, somebody like sky should pick it up so that it gets better ratings and we get better bit rates. |
