Who died...

Which famous person was found dead today, 43 years ago, following an overdose?

No googling! Just for fun!

Funnily enough this is one of the, "I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing, when", moments. Along with J F Kennedy & John Winston Lennon.
43 years ago today I was in Warwickshire on summer camp with the Lancashire Fusiliers Army Cadet Corp. Stuffing straw into a pallyass ( large bag ) to make my matress. :)

With JFK, I was working on a farm in Gt Harwood near Blackburn and was pushing a large wheelbarrow full of Shi--manure up the yard.

when I heard the news about Lennon I was driving my Hotpoint van along Milnrow Road near to my home.:(

I don't include Diana as I was in bed listening to the news on the radio alarm.

Yep.........a white woman woman who did no one any harm dies and you think of the impact on the tv schedules but if a (suspected suicide bombing) racial minority member so much as stubs his or her toe you scream blue murder...says it all really..................sorry--did I say that out loud? ;) :D

It's also a pity that our beloved media went against their own promises and would not let the princes grieve in peace.

I have to admit, that while (obviously) I felt sorry for Di's family (both the Royals and the Althorps), I personally found the media circus that surrounded her death both distasteful and offensive. But, that is Off topic.

Well, no, it's a bit difficult when your mother's death is all you see every time you turn on a television or pick up a newspaper for a week or more after the event.
