Ok i caught a glimpse of PMR UK with Tim Westwood.

OH MY GOD what a complete f-ing disaster.

If any of you have watched the US version, they usually have semi decent cars and at a pinch great cars like mustangs and trans ams etc.

PIMP MY RIDE UK- they came up with.... <drum roll>

If it wasn't for Tim Westcountry it might be passable. Certainly not a patch on the original but watchable.

As it is he just induces feelings of anger and urges to commit violence against him anytime he appears on TV or radio.

Haven't seen the UK version. A mate tells me that Tim Westwood acts like an idiot. He tries to copy Xzibit but suffers.

I think Pimp My Ride US a bit silly too. Xzibit cracks me up, but the daft stuff they do to cars... Overhauling is better I reckon.

Yeah all that expensive stuff - DVD players - Laptops added etc etc yeah thats really going to last long isn't it. You can be certainly be assured that those that that have their rides pimped will not be 'quoted happy' when it comes to negotiating insurance cover.

Listening to Westwood has always made me want to peel off my own skin with a cheese slice, I'm so glad I didn't watch this.

The US PMR is actually fairly amusing if you can put up with the utterly staged displays of surprise and gratitude.

The idea of the programme isn't too bad, but Westwood really kills off any credability it could have. You'd have though he'd drop the act when everyone realised Ali G was based on him.

What's new? For some reason Tim Westwood seems to think he is black (no offence to any of our ethnic members, well, no, Tim Westwood is an offence to any of our ethnic members ;) ), have you ever listened to his mockery of a show? Even some of the guests can't take him seriously on his own show :erm:

He probably thinks he's more legitimate in the rap scene since getting shot at.
It probably wasn't gang related at all, just some poor soul that accidentally tuned in one night.

Is it me, or does anyone else think MTV (being called "Music TeleVision") should actually play a pop video from time to time?

Talking about Westwood, he is actually the only DJ I can think of who irritates me MORE than Simon Mayo. He has made a career of being a white londoner who spends his time trying to sound like a Black new yorker.

Well I love the US PMR, but Getting the biggest muppet ever to present the UK version was such a bad idea. Has anyone had the misfortune to catch hos show on Radio 1? this guys really thinks he is black.

Get rid of him and replace him with a real Black rap star or at least someone younger and less of a fool. Also pick better cars, so far we have had a Morris minor, a Hearse, a Golf and a Fiat Panda. Not very good really.

I saw it once - that was enough. It could've been very funny, but someone chose Westwood to present it, so it's never gonna be any good.

I'm another one who hasn't got any time for Tim Westwood. Wikipedia has a nice piece about him...

Where the hell do they find the people for PMR UK? you have the Ali G prototype in the foreground and someone who models themselves on jamie oliver doing the pimping?

Someone should rip a copy of the show, grab the westwood intro and email it to MTV, X and WCC, let them sort it out. Incidentally Gareth, greenie headed your way for the wikipedia bit lol

I glad to see that i am not the only one!!.

I would of prefered ( if they were going to mimick the US version ) a UK hiphop artist.

There are loads of great artists out there and *may* have helped the UK Hiphop scene.

The worst bit was watching stiff upper lipped British chaps trying to get over excited just like the punters do in the US version.It just isn't in us I guess. :D
