Not sure if you need AGP or PCI-E, nevertheless

ATI Radeon 9800 Pro (AGP)
X700 Pro (PCI-E)

Re: Recommend graphics card...

A Google for "Dell Dimension 8200" shows it's a few years old, so it won't be PCI-E.

Re: Recommend graphics card...

It has AGP.

You may as well go for the 9800 pro then, under 90 notes.

You've got a Geforce 7800 GTX in a "hunk of junk" ... I'm impressed (and amused)

the '9800 pro all in wonder' also comes in under 90 quid, that is a brilliant price for a great multimedia card.

- the only thing I would worry about is the power supply being up to it ???

I'll second that, probably has one of the best analog tuners on the market.

I've had a few problems with them, so have other members. I use them mainly for pricing stuff up. I normally use gladiatorcomputers.com (best customer service you'll find) but they're charging £99 for the card.

a suitable connector lead is not provided, though, the 'default' is a dvi to vga converter, which is supplied ;)

Nah, my vanilla 9800p has a HD15 and DVI interface aswell as one of those adapters so you can have dual display. I'm guessing you are referring to the AIW version?
