is my box dead

Today got up went to turn on my box ( left on standby ) and all I get are random flashing numbers on the boxes display, I have my internet via SACM, and the tv with family pack.

It is a Samsung STB, is this cooked? I have turned off at mains and removed all leads, and reinserted 3minutes later to no avail.

Sounds like the STB is downloading from NTL, leave it to finish.

Anyone help please I am missing my Voyager :(

It's knackered. Download should only take 10-15 mins max. Report it to faults in the morning.

Try powering it on with the down button on the front panel held in. If/when the display says "Ld:14", let go. (Should take around 5 seconds). Might just get it working temporarily until you can get someone out to it.

Re: is my box dead

When I turn it on the channel thing flashes madly no picture, and the on button LED flashes all the time. Nothing else.

Sorry to sound picky here but anything like this needs to be reported to Faults not Customer Service, it may be possible that there are some appointments available tomorrow and Saxodriver can get one if he rings early enough

Re: is my box dead

Rang up sending someone Monday, wish there was some bodge to get it going for tonight missing my CSI and Star trek :(

The channel display is flashing 8888 and if I press tv it changes to some other numbers.

Powered it off/on no difference.
