Phone Product Price Changes

I have received the following information of price changes to existing phone product packages:-

From 01 June new customers who take a phone line will get Talk Unlimited absolutely free for 12 months. Which includes free unlimited UK landline calls in the evenings and at weekends.

Talk Unlimited Local is being reduced to just £2* a month.
A local call is a call made within your own STD code or an adjacent one i.e. if you are in Coventry you could call Leamington Spa or Tamworth, if you are in Newcastle you could call Durham and Sunderland, if you are in London you could call Watford or Romford.

Talk Unlimited is reducing to £6*
Call rates to mobiles that are 10% cheaper than BT Together rates
FREE International Call Plan worth £2 a month, saving up to 75% compared to BT Together daytime rates to 30 top destinations
Daytime landline calls just 3p a minute

All Talk Plan customers will benefit from reduced mobile rates which are 10% cheaper than BT Together.

* Prices are on top of monthly line rental.

mmmm thought so, I do wish they wouldn't show prices like this cos £16.50 isn't the price for talk unlimited  i seriously think this is why a lot of customer don't take up call plans as they look a lot more expensive than they really are :erm:

Anyway, good news that some prices are being reduced :tu:

Thanks Mick :hugs:

I did know what's classed as "local" but can't remember the exact list

if you are 0161 then 01706, 01925, 01204, 01606, 01663 amongst them (i think  )

It also says in this information I've got that a new 'local' definition tool which will be launching on the intranet and internet at the end of June.

It's only for new customers so unless there is a massive take up then it won't cost a bank shattering amount.

exactly my point, too generous for new customers. My guess is NTL are still seeing high turnover of customers and are having to rely on new customers to keep the growth going, we still seeing a trend of people having to constantly change providers to get the best deal. Is it orange who have taken the initiative and allow current customers to get new deals?
