CableForum PC LAN, summer 05!
 

I am pleased to announce that the CableForum PC clan are to hold our own gaming LAN event this summer!

The Clan is 25 strong, with new recruits weekly!, so the LAN is going to be a right frag fest!

The clan plays Call of Duty: United Offensive and Medal of Honor Allied Assault: Spearhead as the main two games. The LAN event will center around these two games.

Other games will be played, incluing the new Battlefield 2, due out next month!

The LAN event is dated in for the weekend of August 20th, in Swindon.

The more the merrier.

Just to let people know that we have a low ping UK based Cod:UO and MOH:SH server which we have full control over.

We have also just joined a MOL League and start playing games soon.

Yeah the server is cool,I played moh a few years back but poor pings put me off,Now im back :D

I live in Bath, so Swindon isn't too much of a trek.

The problem is that I don't own either of the games mentioned -- are these a necessary prerequisit for attendance?

At least one of them, I'd say CoD (plus United Offensive) because MOH is very old now.

Indeed.
We've discussed this at length in the hidden clan forums and on Teamspeak - this is going to be one hell of a LAN party, it's looking like it'll be a fantastic weekend. :)

I don't think we've settled on date yet (?) but it's looking like late August.

Well, the time has come. The first ever Cable Forum PC LAN event will be taking place tomorrow, at a secret location in Swindon.

As well as non-stop gaming (provided we've correctly worked out how to use a router by then) there will be copious amounts of alcohol consumed, first-class cuisine a la barbecue provided thanks to Zingle, constant telling of crap jokes by Moved Goal Posts as well as an unbelievable amount of swearing by everyone (Ramrod will even be teaching us all a few new ones!).

We shall be taking photos all through the event (well, at least until someone drops the camera in a pint of beer), so expect plenty of shots of peoples' thumbs and fingers, or even of their eyes when we're all too drunk to work out which way round a camera goes.

I think that will have to be on the day after set up is complete, I also belive its going to go on public forum so as to let the whole of CF see are slip into a drunken stuper ....................... bring it on :tu:

Ive also got a very sterdy tripod ;) gonna film a bit of the set up,some of the bbq and loads of gaming swearing and drinking will only need to go to it every few hours rest of the time just leave it running

I will only distibute it to the clan so no need for pixelation then if everyone agrees they can go anywhere.If anyone is uncomfortable then it can stay amongst us :D

I was simply reffering to the fact that (apart from Scott and I, we're the responsible ones :p: ) everyone (else) in the clan is going to get totally smashed out of their heads and commit some stupid and perhaps lewd acts on camera (yes, richard, I'm talking to you - no getting naked :erm: ) ...

Well what a weekend that was , 1200 miles round trip but worth it, just got home now.
