Re: This Country...
That is absolutely disgusting.
I was no angel in school and terrorised a few teachers but there is causing them a bit of mischief and there is just well just. What on earth possesses these children? maybe TV and computer games are to blame I dont know? I know I was watching Cartoon Network and I saw a Cartoon with a bully spitting on another kid and also some other kids show where the boy in it kept p*ssing and sh*tting on things and generally being rude and obnoxious. these programs were aimed at 5-7 year olds, it was unbelieveable. |
Re: This Country...
That is terrible.
People often say teachers have it easy, but it is clearly not at all like that. My Mum's a teacher and says how terrible it can be at times. |

There was an even younger evil little **** who raped his teacher not long ago:

Re: This Country...
It is NOT an everyday occurence in school at the moment..Thankfully.I do not feel threatened at all by the students I teach. Most of them are pleased to see me.In fact I had to duck one 15 year old who to wanted to give me a hug this morning because he was so pleased to see me. ;)
The only thing I feel in school is depression because of the low level sort of disturbance that I get from some students..it does make teaching harder, but I am not scared in school. :) |

Just, for heavens sake, don't let it get out of control (ahem, crap headteachers, in most of those cases). I've been to a school like that (albeit, for not very long), and during the time there, countless teachers had bricks thrown at them. Just last week, somebody brought in an air rifle, aimed at the teacher, missed, and shot another pupil. I'm surprised I came out alive! :Yikes: |

Re: This Country...
Why should people posting an opinion get badly repped for voicing what could possibly be the same as most people think?
If somebody broke into my house and i caught them, they would go out of the upstairs window. Fact. If somebody did harm to me or a member of my family, I WILL DO TIME FOR MY ACTIONS. Fact. If the Government in this country cared, i would not have these standards. Fact. The courts don`t give a **** about us so, if something happens, ie:the above circumstances, I will act and i will take the law into my own hands. I don`t care about what people think of me because i care for my Family and my Property as stated in previous posts. You want to do the crime, Bear the consequences. |

:) On topic that is simply disgusting sorry to harp back to the olden days but didn't the cane when it was legal stop most of this, lets see back then teachers did not get raped, school kids didnt run into schools firing guns?? Now we have computer games which promote this ( grand theft auto i went to buy san andreas and kids was there with mommy buying it :Yikes:) Games like this and tv programs of kids being rude as mentioned before in this thread, comply together to create a negative mentality to these kids, something has to be done as this generation of kids soon will be the one who have to find a job and cope and pull there weight for this country. And with the children of today. God and Goddess help us. |

Why the **** are people so against going back to the `Old` values in this country? when people and children were taught respect for others and respect for others property. Nobody likes to be abused, either verbally or physically so why does society tolerate it nowadays? I certainly won`t! __________________ |

Re: This Country...
Record time??
While I think the old kind of punishment in schools helped keep the children under control, again treating violence and abuse nowadays with the agressive youth we have with violence such as a cane would not work. Seeing as now unlike 1950 we are a country of video game lovers fast food and highly influenced by the gang ghetto culture of the American ganster movement a method of the good old cane would be a disaster awaiting to happen. In talk a program on a while back about dad's army where they sent these people to be put through a 1915 style Army recuitment, this broke there lazy aggresive spirits and many of them was reformed so be it a few morons came out. One move would be to perhaps put them in the Army this would train them in behaviour, aggresiveness, language ( i hate txt speak and chav talk ) and most of all some manners. Now for minors why not a similar thing of course not as brutal because they are minors but enough to make sure they understand that the more they commit offenses, and the more they are abusive the longer they stay. now I aint saying I am right nor am I saying this would work, but at the end of the day, sadly our culture created these people, and we have to deal with it. Because in 20-30years who will? |
Re: This Country...
Jesus, and I thought it only happened in the NHS!!!!! It has to end now asI can see gun culture being the next big thing!!!

Re: This Country...
I will say this only once..THIS IS NOT AN EVERYDAY OCCURENCE.Please don't start imagining that every female teacher is going to be raped or is being raped..That everyday staff are physically abused because they are not.
Thus far these are isolated cases.I suspect that the NHS and the rescue services get more of this type of abuse than the teaching fraternity do. Although it may change unless a positive step is taken and more of those who do the physical abuse of staff are actually prosecuted..not every teacher does want to prosecute.A mistake in my opinion. Incog. :) |
Re: This Country...
I agree with you there. But will it come to the point where there will be a bag search everytime a pupil leaves and enters the school.
It is the same in the nursing profession, if more nurses decided to press charges, I think these people would think twice before doing it. We have even been given panic alarms incase someone kicks off. I do feel a lot safer carying one of these, but should I have to?? |

Not it is not a everyday thing however youths are everyday mugging, being arrests for GBH, stealing cars, vandalising and being a total and utter menance, forget terrorists in Afghan we have enough here, tell me how many of you would take your loved ones for a morning stroll at about 2am in your local park these days for fear of youths being about? End of the day all we are seeing is a rapid rise in violence and abuse from youths and even some adults nowadays, the police programs shown on the television shows this as well with it always having to monitor and arrest youths as young as 9 years old for serious offenses. I do not proclaim to know why this is happening all I am saying is we need to be permitted to give more discipline to our children and a society which greater rewards good behaviour and punishes bad behaviour all be it though without violence. I live in a council estate even in my new house which is under council ownership ( for now ) and I am seeing something take place years ago this estate was known around Rochdale for being the roughest of the rough and this was true, my father had very nice company cars which was always being damaged so much we bought a standard lada and used it just to get to the garage and back where we stored the car, why did this take place?? the council judged because the kids was bored and wanted something else to do. They then made some areas of land open to the youths and then they permitted them to ride there bikes on them. While the police and council check every now and then that the bikes aint nicked ( many are frankenstiens and just about run ) but yet they saw a immediate drop in crime such as street fighting, random abuse shouting, kids near me have those mini bikes and regularly goto a gravel track and have a laugh. Now we are seeing a council estate where I can take dogs out at 1am and not in fear of youths, while there true are some morons who wont learn they are so far and few between it makes for a lovely area. Perhaps not a solution but a step in the right direction is to listen to these children and teenagers find out what they want and try to come to a agreement and understand that end of they day we was children once. :) EDIT: In regard to abuse within NHS to nurses and random abuse like that from adults and youths that is when things cross the border and are very illegal and punishment is required I am not condoning such abuse and violence. |
