TV gone weird
My TV has gone a funny colour. Its gone all yellowish greenish!
Any ideas |
Re: TV gone weird
Have you checked your contrast / brightness etc (just in case you've accidently sat on the control or something)?

Re: TV gone weird
Knackered? Have you tried powering it off, leave it to cool, switch it back on? Any magnets near it?
|
Re: TV gone weird
At a guess I would assume that your red cathode gun has packed up. Try adjusting the colour settings and watch the BBC test card (is it still transmitted?).

Re: TV gone weird
Take the scart cable out and plug it back in.

Re: TV gone weird
Check for yellowish green paint spillage? :p:

Re: TV gone weird
You've run out of red TV ink. You can get refill kits at www.tvrefills.com

Re: TV gone weird
I remember smearing Ribena with a tissue all over my sisters old TV with my brother in law about 7 years ago to give the impression the tube was on its way out, he really wanted a Big Screen TV :D

Re: TV gone weird
Oddly enough your TV will also do this if you turn it upside down.
Seriously. |

Re: TV gone weird
I had an old TV that used to do this, turned out to be a dry joint on the back of the connection to the tube...
(PLEASE NOTE - THERE ARE LETHAL VOLTAGES INSIDE THE CABINET!!!) Don't go prodding around if you don't know what you are doing! |
