Just picked up a copy of MM3 from Dixons this lunchtime.

Dixons are doing the same tax free deal as Currys so it only cost me £32.99 - result!

Hope to see you on there soon,it's a right laugh.

What's the online play like, is it race based or can you just cruise around in a virtual world?

You can cruise around the place if you want too.
The online play is great,there is checkpoint racing,capture the gold,tag,hunter and stayaway all of them are a laugh.

You could have gone to Game and got it for the same price....

let us know what its like, also what the multiplayer is like.
I'd like a car racing game that all me mates can play online too.

I kep falling off the bikes in mgp.

Single player is not too bad, but XBL is great. Although when playing it on Saturday night there were too many Americans giving me an and my other three team members grief because we co-operated as a team - there's me thinking that was the idea of team games :confused:

How does it support team games?

1 gets to block the others while another wins?

Help! hehe, went to game today at Bluewater (shopping centre) and looked for it and couldnt see it and so I asked and the bloke pointed to the poster telling me the release dates. It said that they are getting them on the 28th?

The official release date is the 28th - so GAME are right in saying so. Curry's & Dixons have been known before to sell games before their official release date.

Its the 27th? Its thjis friday not saturday anyway i shud be recieving mine on firday in the post on its OFFICIAL launch day!

Whoever scores has the points added to their team, but the best way to win at a team game is for the other cars to block the opposition from stealing the gold off you, but we did seem to get a lot of abuse for using such tactics, don't know why :shrug:

I have just popped into Currys and bought it :D

What a great game. No point playing the single player just get straight into Live.

I found the driver bonnet view to be the best to get a sense of realism and speed.

The Live interface is nicely designed and didn't get a hint of lag in any of the games I played.

hmm right, mm3 or mc2 ? Too many games so little money !

The general opinion I've seen is that MM3 is way better than MC2, especially for Live. (although, as Cas' would say, they're different types of game)

In the end i would get both but first??

FYI....

I played on a few 8 player (max) servers with no slow, lag or voice breakup :)

The Optimatch was set to ANY and returned about 30 servers :D

MM3 must be good cause...my gf played me on split screen for an hour......I think it's the first game she's actually played on the XBOX :disturbd:

TBH...I've been thinking of which to recommend to you.....it's difficult to say which one is better (they're different game types...(did someone take the mick out of me for saying that :grind: ) )...

...but in terms of time spent....hmmmm

MM3 is fun...the cities are huge and you can get 8 (max) players no lag....it's team and single player based (on live) so good for everyone....(Jar and his points! :disturbd: ).

SoF is a quality FPS which it's difficult to get bored with.....going out on a limb...I think I'll get bored with MM3 first.....SoF is just so more dynamic and deep.....MM3 is crushinly fun and funny....with lots of mayhem....but there is a sense of childish fun...within the game and it's fun interface.....

To conlude...MM3 is a mates game....come round with a keg of beer and lashing of fun will be had....Clan matches are still possbile and will be done also (even interclan matches are possbile, Tez ;) ... )

SoF....is a suped up GR....with 20 maps and an auto map generator....plenty of guns...so I think in the end SoF will be my main game until Raven Shield comes out....


...anyway Clans are based on FPS...not bloody crazy car gaming!!! :D

I bought MC2 last Friday from GAME and I'm going to return it this Friday for a copy of MM3.:smokin:

OK, after reading all of your posts concerning MM3 being cheaper at Dixons/Currys, I'm cancelling my internet order and heading down there this afternoon.

This has got to be the first time in my life of buying a game from their stores (I'm even hesitant to buy anything in their stores as usually electronics can be found on the NET cheaper).

Back from store with MM3. Came this close <---> to buying BF as well. Might still do it. How long does this VAT free offer go for?

I'm surprised that anybody has managed to get the VAT free offer on MM3, it is supposedly for chart titles only. MM3 isn't even released officially till friday. A cock up some where me thinks.

Hey Cas, that game last night of "Prey" was ridiculous. Between the jabberring Finns and Yanks complaining they weren't speaking English, I just drove around on the Paris freeway for like 15 minutes. There must be better game modes.

it was crap cause .....the non-hunters had dodge vipers etc...and the hunters had normal polics cars....so it was setup wrong!...no chance catching you guys...

I've had some decent games...even in hunter mode....but it works better when you play with people you know.

I was pulling like 300KPH on the freeway, no chance of catching me. I was thinking you guys would setup a roadblock and corner me in. I think I made like 5 complete orbits of Paris.

Isn't the speedometer in KPH on MM3? As for Canuck-land, we use KPH (chr*st, we evneted the metric system!), the States use MPH. Don't know what 300KPH works out into MPH (maybe 180MPH?).

oh ok...I did the dodgy and thought that Canuck-land was MPH since the US were :rolleyes: ...sorry!

I swapped mine over to MPH..cause I wanted to obey the speed limits!

Midtown maddness is quality anyone it tonight ? One really crap thing though is the soundtracks, you add your own songs and every time a game finishes it returns to the start of the playlist so you hear one song all the way through, this is for offline however i imagine its the same for online. This needs fixed !!

Gawd! All these post's on MM3 are killing me - its obviously a GREAT GAME on LiVE and I can't get hold of a copy till Friday:cry:

Yeah last night's Bus race was a classic. The slower and larger the vehicle the better. I haven't laughed so much for ages.

That was so funny last night, wish I had been home earlier. Same again tonight?

That was the most fun ive had on live for a long time. That tag is so much better with slower vehicles IMO. Ill be on 2nite aswell so possibly we should try mobile bins, boom seemed partial to them last night :D

That bin-lorry was hilariously slow. The funniest bit for me was when in tag-mode I tagged and rammed Mantrid into the river.

The funniest was on the hill where a lot of reversing at high speeds was used, mantrid felt the sharp end of my bus :D

Played it. Love it. Totally amazed at the sheer scale of the game maps, just didn't realise how massive they are until using the cruise mode on the game.Class.:)

I should be getting MM3 either tomorrow or Sat.

Sorry no I was up the London Eye last night doing a bit of client entertainment.

As I was looking out over London I was thinking to myself that London would be great in MM3.

that reminds me when I was in a large department store (Lewis' I think it was) walking around the massive building with many floors of clothes and stuff....and thinking how this would make a good anti-terrorist map on RavenShield!!!!

Boy this game should carry a health warning, I can't get enough. Spent 4 hours on friday night, forgot I had to be up Sat morning.

Has anyone got more than the 2 initial levels your allowed on?

At the moment the game only contains the two levels. I understand that london will be available as a new map to download in the near future.

Really ? Where did you hear[read] that? I'd love to drive around London. Especially if you got a double decker bus as a down load too. I know london was in a previous game so they might just port that but I'm suprised they can make a whole new map available. Is this official or just a net rumour? :spin:
