Ntl ?

Just a quick, rather random question...

What does NTL stand for?

Hmmm, I have often wondered about this. The company is incorporated in the USA and is referred to over there as NTLI or NTL Incorporated (both capitalised). It is quoted on NASDAQ as NTLI and always refered to in a capitalised form.

Not any more.

National Transcommunications Ltd, is what the Broadcast side of things used to be called.

Now that we've sold it off, it has retained that name - but instead of being called NTL for short it's now called "NatTrans".

NTL just means NTL.

I mean what is that all about? How can you have a company name made up of initials that don't mean anything? Never understood it, it's not logical Mr Spock. Damn Septic Tanks have a lot to answer for :erm:

:welcome: to Cable Forum, gazzer

- sorry to say you can only upload to NTL webspace from an NTL connection.

JohnHorb 05-03-2005 18:16

Re: Ntl ?

:welcome: Perhaps not the best thread to post this on! But I think you'll find you can only upload to an NTL web space from an NTL IP address. Presumably you are trying from a Telewest address?

[Edit] Beaten to it!:)
