There was a discussion a few weeks ago about employees being told to be quiet and not discuss anything ntl related.

I have heard this morning that regionally this week some guys have been reminded to be very carefull what they say, as far as I know they dont post on this board and the info has come down the line to their line manager.

This instruction is apparently not on the Intranet or any notice boards, and one of the managers claimed there are a lot of things going on and there could be some bad news reported.

Has anyone else been told to be carefull week, or within the last couple of weeks in any other regions/departments?

It's not the Norther Ireland Telephone fiasco is it?I think from what I have heard they really,really don't want that discussed. ;)

I wondered that at first, but it's a Southern Ireland thing anyway!

I've not been told to keep quiet but then I'm being made redundant in a weeks time so I don't care! lol ;)

I've heard absolutely nothing, nor have any 'silencing' instructions come down, I am usually a good one to hear grapevine related (usually untrue) rumours as well.

Well not all of us are ntl.

Actually how many members are ntl personel?Or is that a question we do not ask.Is it like asking a mature woman her age ? ;)

I dont think its an untrue rumour Mark, it may be as someone else said in a Pm to me it's just a local thing. I have said a few things in PM's that I am not willing to post, nothing of geat suprise or interest, just some things that have come from and been observed with some ntl managers recently.

What I did post in this thread was a genuine account of what an ntl employee told me happened yesterday. I am not going to make up anything to look juicy, but something appears to be happening but it may be just a regional thing.

I'm not going to even guess here, as I will only be slagged off.
